Investigating But Not Reporting

We are currently investigating connection issues some players are having on the North American megaservers. We will update as new information becomes available.

That is exactly word for word what was posted 2 nights ago.
Nothing was said afterword
So is this going to be different or exactly the same?

So who are the ones getting in? If only some of us are having problems logging in who is not?
See this is why people (customers) are upset.
Investigating can mean just that - saying you are aware of the situation and that is all you are doing. Hoping that it passes like 2 days ago and how many times before that?

My guess is the investigate and update is more about then investigating and fixing/stopping the cause then update just being things are fine, not giving more info?

No idea on this one. :(

Crap, I missed the part where it reads

    My bad

It appears to be the same old thing happening

Nobody's ignoring the problem - we are actively looking into this issue to figure out a solution. We want to get everyone back into the game as much as you want to get back into the game.

    So what is the issue?
Why can you not come up with a solution? Not willing to until you see if the aforementioned issue goes away after this
    wonderful pvp event finishes?
I guess we have to take your word for you saying your not ignoring the problem
I guess if you post once every few days that you are not ignoring the "problem" you can claim you are not ignoring it.

The lack of communication with the player base in this game has always been an issue. I'm pretty sure it always will be.

I won't argue it can be better and they seem to be trying, but every time they do update people they get attacked.

I mean Gina has had days where she's been all over the forums updating people on things and then she just gets snarky replies or people demanding more. Brian or Wrobel make a post and get slammed, and the community start threads asking for devs to be fired.

ZOS have tried but the community can be pretty toxic towards them even when they're doing their best or doing good. :(

Oh okay I apologize for making this thread and asking about something that is recurring and not being discussed.
Thankfully it is not a big issue.
Hopefully I did not hurt anybody's feelings - I thank for your patience in reading this post.

I will keep paying to play a game that I have to constantly worry about being booted out of.
Heck, I am only paying monies and investing time in it - no big deal.

When becoming an adult - You say something you do it.

If you state something, firstly representing yourself then representing the company - You follow through, if it is to update the customers or whatever. If you have no intention of doing something do t say it then.

ZoS have let too many people down. Little faith is held in this company that is the main reason why people dread updates as it degrades the game a bit more and reinstates previously addressed issues and creates more broken code to be exploited.

Additionally ZoS has REFUSED to address lag seriously. Facts is performance is arguely worse and definitely not better since 2 years. That is incompetence which too many people are quick to promote and quick to excuse @Turelus

It's fine to be annoyed, it's fine to criticise and it's fine to keep ZOS on their toes.

However a lot of people on these forums seem to forget it's other human beings they're talking to and act like complete jerks about it.
Like the other week when Gina posted in reply and updated people, and you instantly gave her a sarcastic reply. There was no need for it, you just wanted to bash on ZOS/Gina and took a swing when she'd done nothing but help answer a question for people.

It's entirely possible to critic ZOS and call them out on their failings without being rude, using swear words or demanding devs lose their jobs. I know this because I do it, just head to any cheating/exploiting thread and you'll see my critic.

If you're heading to the forums to post in rage, attack ZOS staff members (or other forums members for that matter) and generally just act like a complete jerk it's probably better for yours and others mental health if you just step away and take some time to relax and enjoy something positive in life.

I can not speak for others, but since I am not getting answers like believe I should be as a valuable customer, I try to get my monies worth thru posting.
Imo, as a business owner, gamer, and a customer, I would rather hear and put up with peoples' posts since they are expressing themselves. The ones not saying anything are to ones to fear. These are the people that can topple your business - since you do not know why they suddenly leave or if they are thinking about leaving.
If you are so thin-skinned and your purpose is try to push your attitude, beliefs, morals on others then go for it. Who knows, you might convert some and you might convince others to turn away from your way of thinking.

However don't attack the devs for communication like the person I replied to had the other week. If they reply and you don't like the answer that's not a reason to be a complete jerk towards them.

But, here is the thing. A lot of the blame can be placed upon Wheeler and Wrobel. Where as Gina is like the medium between the devs and the player base. Which is why she doesn't deserve to get flamed or called out, no matter how bad things get. It goes back to the saying of: "Don't shoot the messenger." All they are doing is trying to relay a message, and that's all. Nothing more, and nothing less.

And as for deserving to be fired, I won't even get into why Wrobel needs to go. I think the numerous threads that appear regularly explain this enough. Let alone his very own actions. So yeah, I'm not even going to add fuel to that particular fire. Lol.

ZoS influences streamers to bias there opinion to promote and sell more copiers of ESO. That is fact. Forum users like Turelus has a heavy bias on continually promoting ZoS. Your opinion is no longer as objective as a regular paying customer and by witnessing your previous posts, it is quite blatant that you are defending ZoS.

I see your critic on the Cheating and Exploiting thread, but cant see ZoS employees?, unless i look for over a year. By incompetent actions and in actions, ZoS has pushed this game into the cheaters and exploiters.

I assume this thread has to do with the announcement about the DDOS attacks Gina recently posted. The only update possible would be either we are continuing to investigate and work on it or our work has completed.

Everyone can get into the server except when the attacks are hitting them particularly hard. Most of the time it does not prevent us from logging in though we can have ping spikes and occasional kicks from the server.

There just is not much for them to say. It is fine to be annoyed if someone wants to be so, but all a company like Zos can do it adjust to the DDOS attacks they are experiencing to find something that works when the attacks ramp up or change. Gina stated that they were working on adjusting their defenses which is much more than just investigating.

And thx to Gina for informing us. Did not tag her since she probably gets enough tags as it is.

ZOS have tried but the community can be pretty toxic towards them even when they're doing their best or doing good. :(

That is incompetence which too many people are quick to promote and quick to excuse Turelus

I love this game. As a result, things (like lag, truthfulness, silence) tend to get me worked up.

You mean like the thread they posted on the day you posted this one, explaining exactly what was going on?

I believe I posted first so...
Looking good in the hindsight are you not? lol

Your original post may well have been posted before the announcement, as I said it was on the same day certainly, but I didn't quote your original post. I quoted your continued claim not to be getting any replies or discussion from ZOS well after they had addressed the issue.

I only posted once on this topic after they announced their findings
That was to thank them for finally replying and that the DDOS reason was bull.
    So, try again

You have one more try for that quarter - lol

You've made no such post in this thread, here you continued to complain on the 29th about the lack of communication after they made their announcement about the DDOS attack on the 28th. They investigated, and they reported, just like you asked for. While you may not accept their explanation, and have said so in a different thread, that doesn't alter the fact that they did report their conclusions contrary to what you continued to claim here after they had done so.

Okay I see where you are coming from - sorry I did not understand and of course I did not re-read your post where you bolded my comment.
I tend to get my context mixed up a lot - I was commenting on someone's post from the previous day in the thread so my context was out of whack.
I apologize for being smart-ass with you.
Thank you for pointing it out to me and clearing up the confusion.
