Well in the case of Rich we know because he shares his character names/classes in tweets etc.

As for others I am not sure. I would guess a mix though, it's easy to do the tinfoil hat thing of "this class is best because devs play it" however I am pretty sure you normally get sacked for pulling that kind of stuff.

but the devs playing it is definitely not an indication it's the best tuned class. No, it needs bigger shields and more burst and also stamina class needs to lose its mobility and no more stam gap closers and and and wahhhhhhh.

But like... a number of them do and they talk about it. Rich and Brian have both spoken about PvP play before, Rich also does dungeons via the group finder on PC NA.

I would imagine the others simply don't wish to share their character names because they don't want all the abuse that comes with it. If they're playing in their spare time to enjoy the game they make they're not going to want whispers from people demanding sorc nerfs.

I know two of the devs pretty well irl (I'm local to the studio)... they are definitely vested in, care very much about, and indeed do play around in the game

Always easy to answer these questions. You have to look at what class is still stupid OP even after the supposed "nerfs".

Also I'm pretty sure ZOS players keep getting killed by magblades, that is the only thing that would explain their hatred towards my class

I can say with confidence they've never taken a magicka warden into PvE endgame. There is no way you can release a class so astronomically underpowered if you've tested it.

I do think they play, albeit not that much. Otherwise the glaring bugs wouldn't take as long to get fixed as they do, and it's pretty clear they often have no clue about what's going on in the game. The episode about Brian Wheeler and his unintended comically postings about the AP farm exploit or the issues surrounding the BG queue tell us as much.

I thought Rich was a Templar? Although I think he has a lot of characters as I know he shared his Warden on Twitter a while back because of the funny name.

I am sure they play them all. As to the class they play personally for fun I am guessing it changes over time just like the normal player base

Only class, which can handle every situation, has most access to possible playable builds and is allways a bit stronger then all other classes since Release!

Just one, the only real nerf i saw, was this duration for shields.. but this hitted all classes. When i look to my Templar, which things changed i feel really sad. For example Sorc can use hard CC is different ways. All of them are useful, deal damage and CC..
Templar only have 2 and they they need to choose wisely. One singletarget CC with very short duration and nearly no damage, but on range. Another for single target, but i need to go in meleerange for it. This gives good CC duration but deal nearly no damage too ... No real reason to take it away from blazing spear, but logic dont excist!

Why not giving Mag Sorc more stun, while stealing it from other classes, to see the difference more!

they play for sure just magicka classes and there most likely sorc, because that class becomes ALL the LOVE and multiple gifts and bonuses, and all other classes they HATE, especially stamblades!
