Hello there, I'm looking for assistance solving a number of problems that all began occurring this morning (July 27th). I played ESO at length last night, and there were no problems at all.
Firstly, the launcher is not behaving properly. It stays on the message "Loading..." for several minutes before telling me there is a Patch Manifest Error. I have tried closing and reopening the launcher, initiating a repair install and restarting my computer (several times) with no impact. The repair install simply wouldn't begin, and then gave the same error message.
I can still open the game by launching "eso64.exe" directly from the program files. Upon logging in, I found my control scheme had been reset to default. For the entire day today I have been trying to stay connected to the server but have been kicked to login a countless number of times. Granted, I was trying to AvA in Cyrodiil, and I'm aware of the many crashing issues happening there this week.
The frustrating thing is that my controls reset to default
every time I log in, whether I disconnected intentionally or not. That's over a dozen times today I was kicked from the server and had to re-map
all my controls.
Since I'm on the subject, the crashes in Cyrodiil happened to me reliably every time I was killed. Death was followed by an instant loss of connection (everyone appeared to stand still) and several minutes later, a boot to login. Disconnects also happened about 50% of the time I entered a load screen, and this was not exclusive to Cyrodiil. I tried queuing for a Battleground and was kicked with the same message, "An error has occurred".
Finally, I tried to solve each of these problems by, first, re-installing the launcher. However, for some reason, some parts of ESO's website simply
will not load for me. I can access the forums just fine, and the main page will load after a strangely-long wait. The Account section however, where the "Download Game" option is found, refuses to load, no matter how long I wait. My internet speed is as fast and stable as usual, and no other websites have any trouble loading up.
Lastly, I saw
@ZOS_GinaBruno post on another thread this morning that those of us with login issues should submit a ticket to Technical Support. I tried to do this, but like the Account section, the Support webpage simply
will not finish loading. I get as far as entering my account details and the "Log in" button doesn't register as click-able, so I'm stuck and unable to submit a ticket.
Suffice to say it has been a
very frustrating day, especially because I will be away for several days this weekend and today is my last real chance to finish the Midyear Mayhem achievement. If I'm unable to resolve this, I won't get the event completed and that will bother me to no end.
