Edit to this whole thing:
I've been off the game for over a year now and just had the lucky opportunity to come back.
I wasn't aware of the older events and now that I know there's more on the way I'm excited.
Great to be back on eso finally

Original Text:
Currently loving the MM holiday event and really hoping Zos keeps with the lore based holiday events.
Keeping with that, what are everybody's thoughts on a PvE version?
A.k.a run dungeons, dolmens, undaunted, etc and get loot boxes, achievement items and gold PvE based jewelry?

**Sidenote, please @Zos gods give us a PvE Version of the gold vendor while you're at it.***

Anyways...
Any thoughts or suggestions on this or future events you'd like to see?
And if someone can tag Zos members for maybe a word or 2 about event ideas that would be amazing.

Its refreshing to have a PvP only event, no need for a PvE version.

If they were going to add a PvE version, they should add a PvP version to all the others.

Pve gets plenty of holiday/event stuff, but a vendor for purple/gold jewelry (especially for crafted sets) would be nice. Unless they plan to try to introduce jewelry crafting. That would be spectacular!

What?! No. No! I don't want to have to wait for hours just to zone in for an event in a pve zone only to crash a few moments later. And the lag, omg the lag. And since its a pve version, I guess there'd be a new achievement where you need to 50 killing blows of a boss, etc. ;)

In all seriousness though, pretty much every other event has been pve oriented, and likely more inclusive, imo, due to there not having poplocks and long queues.

I think, what the OP means, is for the other events to be comparable to this one

I'm fairly sure the OP knows or heard, there are PvE events, but they only consist in a couple of quests and no real challenge (e.g. no dungeon to beat, no mobs to defeat, etc), just a couple of fetch quests.

In my opinion, the point the OP is trying to make, is that this PvP event, barring technical difficulties and problems with access to it, was more fun that the previous PvE events, because it had more challenge to it.

If that is the point, I agree.

The PvE version ofTthe Golden already exists, is called daily pledges (aka Do The Content). The Golden exists to allow, to some extent, PvP players to avoid PvE altogether (for the joy of everyone involved), so ... a PvE vendor to avoid PvE doesn't make much sense to me.

Jokes aside, this I agree with readily. However, I wouldn't equate The Golden to the daily pledges. The Golden sells monster sets and gold jewelry. Whereas the pledge chests consumes a key for a random shoulder piece. No gold jewelry, and if you want the helm, you have to run the vet dungeon, or wait for it to be sold by the Golden.

Regardless, the event has been more challenging than the pve events... not including the technical difficulties.

I do not begrudge PvPers a special event. I don't think we need a PvE version running at the same time.

    PvE events so far:
    - Witches' Festival (in October/November)
    - New Life Festival (at New Year's)
    - Anniversary event (though that was a goodie bag for every daily quest, so PvP dailies were included)
    - Jester's Festival (in April)

If you really don't want to PvP (for whatever reason) there are several ways to earn AP and rewards from this event. You could do dailies in any of the 5 towns, scout quests, and resource capture quests are all PvE. Then If you happen to accidentally end up in a PvP situation you just might actually enjoy yourself.

I think we had it at the start of the year when going to Eastmarch led to lag and DC's - it was the new year event where you had to jump in the icy water and stand by the fire to warm up. It led to the ugly sight of everyone running around in horrible bathing towels and fur hats.

To me the Jesters Festival was also just plain stupid. The last good event was the Witches Festival last Halloween - I have not liked any of the PVE 'events' since then.

The more that I think about it, the more I have a feeling that the event would've been more successful if it were in fact a PvE event. Have we had a lot of PvE events already? Yes. Have they all been successful? Yes (except for the Thieves Guild event). So why not follow a formula that works? That's my opinion on it at least. And plus, I think the severs would've not been as unstable as they were if it was a PvE event.

As a primarlily PVEr, we get more than enough of these events. It's actually kind of nice that the PVP community gets to have one, which - by the way, I'm enjoying rather well.

Like if they made the Witches' Festival rewards come from dungeons and trials instead of delves and dolmens? Give us crafted sets jewellery as rewards.

That would be amazing. Green from norm, blue from vet, purp from vet hm and trials, gold from hm trials.

And it would stop Witches' from being an absolute zerg fest.
