I never experienced any lag, long load screens or linkdeath. Had some fun actually. I was a little hesitant to try with all the forum post. Glad I did.

so non cp is the better choice then? Cause im also a pvp noob and like to try it and i don't really care about which campaign...which is the best to choose therefore regarding "no lag"?

It depends on what campaign you're in. I did Kastav with zero crashes and nearly zero lag, but then I transferred over to the under-50 campaign to do a different character, and it was lag-a-rama. I've heard the main campaign is even worse.
The lesson I learned is: Play in Kastav until the event ends. :)

I went to Cyrodiil too, both non-cp and standard cp campaign. And found no lag, no long queues even in full campaigns and no crashes. I'm bad pvper, but I had such a fun time!

Interesting, played over the weekend on Kastav and had the same experience. No lag, was in the game within 30 seconds or less every time I logged. Had some fun but found it to be a mixed bag.

It has issues but Cyrodiil is amazing fun and it's sad so many are put off by what the forums say about it.

Kastov does seem to be stable. too bad apparently pvpers caught on and maker help you if you are just pve player trying to get event achievements done.

I feel no performance diference between no-cp and cp campains. Same ping, same fps the only difference is that on non cp its easier to kill players.

Yes, but even sadder how many actually do have issues instead of enjoyable gameplay, wouldn't you agree?

This is sort of a myth regarding CP... "CP makes all the lag"

Turns out that most people play the CP campaigns for various reasons, and the majority of players and large guilds shove themselves into one campaign. This campaign is currently Vivec. During primetime Vivec is borderline unplayable, but any other campaign will be decent to play in. I've played in pop locked Shor during this event in primetime and it was as lag free as no-CP at 3 in the morning.

If you have 400+ CP and want a non-laggy experience, I recommend Shor atm. If you are significantly less than 400CP then give the no-CP campaign a shot.

For as much as everyone is throwing in the usual sarcasm I would expect from anyone who lives in Cyrodiil it would be nice to see more positive responses.

New players are the life blood of PvP and again anyone who lives in Cyrodiil will attest to the lack of not only fresh names but also new guilds and people willing to work at building the community.

A general more positive response and welcoming environment would hopefully encourage people to come back. Everyone should remember their first few weeks of cyrodiil and how much of a blast and addicting it was.

Any new player I would recommend trying to play Vivec or currently Shor if you are CP capped, Sotha Sil if you are not. Some people might disagree with me on this but try to join some of the larger pug groups so you can get a grasp and have some semblance of safety for your first few steps in Cyrodiil. Give it a few weeks of that, maybe try some ganking. Find what sort of combat resonates with you and makes the game enjoyable. Learn to fight with your character and not just siege. These large groups might contain information to help guide you in the right direction but keep in mind that at it's core.. the information is probably not the strongest. Use it as a stepping stone to pick a direction and research more to become a better combatant.

Realize too, that there is a myriad of server performance issues that need to be addressed. Until more of the population base shifts back to cyrodiil, at least in my opinion, these concerns seem to fall onto the back burner in favour of content that can be better monetized.

Even still, despite all of the constant complaining, almost everyone that does it still spends 2 to 10 hours a day in Cyrodiil. So it must say something about the level of satisfaction and enjoyment people get. Give it a try and find what so many other people have fallen in love with.

I was playing yesterday evening on Vivec PC, from peek time since ealy morning today, and had no lag even with large scale battles, sieging etc. But I wasn't grouped just running solo sticked to some large group.
Have to check if the Large Group had also some improvements lately because grouping with large amount of players was the main reason of lag and memory leak in the past. At least for me.
