1. remove RNG and other gating that forces us to take longer than we'd like to get the gear we want
2. remove riding skill grind, why handcuff new players/characters by making it take 6 months to cap a horse
3. remove gear research timers, there's absolutely no reason for this.
4. fix server instability
5. remove the bot fix from the lighting patch of summer 2014, it ruined cyrodiil performance
6. have reasonable proc sets, if not capable must remove them
7. single access point that will search all guild traders not just the ones you're a member
8. *** can the crown store-cash shops ruin games
We'd have a much better game overall. Sadly, they probably won't do any of these things. The corporate disease has taken hold.
1. Gear grind is important to all MMOs. Trait balancing is what was needed and its coming.
2. Its just a little incentive to log on every day. Buy riding skill books if you want.
3. Researching gear is part of the "progression" of the crafting professions. Nothing wrong with it, and you can buy research time reducers.
4. Yes plz
5. No idea what this is, but ok
6. Adding counterplay to proc sets was the main issue. They did that.
7. Tamriel Trade Center webite
8. Cash store was necessary for BoP. I would not be here if I was forced to sub, so no. Just ignore it if you're not interested.

I don't think this is an issue of agreeing or not, these are indisputable facts you've listed, which punish new accounts. One thing though, by rank I'd say that the 'megaservers' need to be U-P-G-R-A-Y-E-D-D before all else. Items are always going to be crap because of how stupidly unbalanced, PvP/PvE is in terms of combat and class mechanics. Those two issues will compound until they drop standardization for PvE and implement it instead, for ALL skills and items in PvP. ( not likely to happen though, elitist nerds ruined all hope in WoW and every MMO since has followed in their mistake)
Screw all that crap, really I mean at this point its pretty clear that PVP is a broken feature. Im sure the PVE will be around a while but if you want a glimpse into your future check out a game called "Lord of the Rings Online", the road ahead is pretty clear, lol.
what would make this game really good is the ability to upload your own personal sound track. Like earlier this evening, when people couldnt group in cyrodiil, you should have seen the zerg babies they didnt know what to do. I would have given your left nut, or a month of your paychecks to have been able to play this as my back round music as they died horrible deaths to oils not knowing where to go because there was no zerg train.

Riding training could go account wide if they took away the paywall option and you had to do it one day at a time, at least completing it on one character. I know this idea won't be popular but like many others, I have done this on all my characters (9 completed, 5 in progress), so this would be a peace offering instead of giving new players a 'free ride' for no valid reason.
RNG doesn't bother me because I don't do RNG things in the game like trials and vMA. Adding a token system, so you can at least get something good after so many runs might be OK.
Outside of Cyrodiil, the only other thing I really hate is BoP - please bring back BoE.

Not even the same ball park. RNG? That's an MMO for ya. Gear research? Dedication should be rewarded. Hard work has to pay off or else what's the point. Proc sets are being adjusted next patch. Centralized guild trader? Nah, I'm good. I like free market and competition between guilds. Yeah it can be a pain spending an extra few minutes but it not a big deal. If anything MM is what kind of ruins it. I love the add on but if you really think about it, it let's people standardize prices to easily. The lighting thing I can't speak on, not sure what that is about.

I calculated a long time ago that it would take more than a year to research all 9 traits and it did take me along time.disintegr8 wrote: »Personally I don't have an issue with the riding and research timers. Even though you only have to complete the research of traits on one toon, that still means it would take a LONG time to do. I found an old thread from back when there was only 8 traits in the game and it would take 238 days to complete all of them. So, about 8 months. Now you have to increase that time because there are 9 traits for everything to learn, so it would be over a year or so to learn them all. Something that takes that long to learn, which only gives you the benefit of being able to craft a HANDFUL of sets in the game is just stupid. Oh and you get a CHANCE at getting better master writs, but that is up to RNG as well. It's pretty stupid how long it takes.

I think the research process is a residual effect from a time when crafted gear was the best gear you could have and the effort was worth it - to be able craft and sell top level gear. Now that most people are after dropped sets to get BiS, crafting is almost obsolete and a lot of people don't bother with it.
Maybe as someone who has put the effort in, I am against giving people easier access to something I am proud of achieving, even though I get nothing for it. I would prefer that they made crafting great again by either introducing new sets or modifying existing craftable sets so that they were popular again - even if they are bound.
Coming up with a compromise is the answer to this one, maybe an extra skill point in the craft lines to reduce research times by a further 20 - 25%. That way you still need to get the skill points, but if you make the effort, it can reduce the total research time by a significant amount.
The idea behind this 'timed' tasks is to try and entice people to come back regularly and keep playing, you can't blame a game company for including such things.
Knowing more traits does not increase your chance of better voucher rewards, it simply increases the chances of getting master writs. I kept stats for over 2 months straight on 8 characters when Homestead dropped and my (already) 9 trait crafter received more MW's than my other characters, but did definitely not received the most vouchers.
