Maybe Found a Solution to FPS and lag problems in my Case

I had purchased a utility program from iolo called System Mechanic. I did not relate the lag issues to this program because it seemed everyone in ESO was having problems.
I started playing some of my other games and was noticing the same slowness and stuttering.
Since I was not exactly sure how to adjust the program I deleted it.
Since I did that I have played over 15 hours with only one instance of excessive lag.
I cannot state for certain that SM was causing my problems but it sure is a strange coincidence that they stopped now that the program has been unistalled..

Thank you so much OP, I have been using iolo System Mechanic for about 3 yrs now. (Next month I have to renew) Tried Kaspersky, windows defender AVG? And many others. But after I tired System Mechanic from iolo, I got hooked. System Mechanic saved me many times.
But I believe you made a good possibility that I'm not aware, even though I usually on PS4 (rarely NA) PS4 EU, I sometimes play regular PC (No one will recognize me though
) (Mostly pts though.) However I wonder if System Mechanic is causing me to lag?
I think I'll try disabling system mechanic next time I go back on my pc. Hopefully that will stop be from lagging on PC? But now what to do on PS4 lol? Thanks again OP.
