Started with nirncrux back then. Then dwemer motifs. Then any kind of rare motifs. Then gold tempers. Now anything rare and costly. It's not about the gold itself, that I have more than enough. It's about keeping the thrill awake for anything you can grab (loot, chest, drop, farm, etc... ) even if I don't need anything myself.

I made my first real money by fishing. And for a month or so wrothgar was dropping double fish so I really racked up the gold then. These days I just do whatever I feel like doing and selling. So could gear, mats, motifs. .

I'm not SUPER rich but I made quite a bit in IC. Willpower/agility from vaults, alliance motifs, IC sets bought with tel var. Some of the sharpened imperial physique, vicecanon's and black rose weps went for 350-500k ea.

I basically sell all the mats I get that I do not need. Daily crafting writs are probably the reason why I made so much money

Necropotence staves, if you find one sharpened lightning or flame you get 200k gold in one shot.
Definitely worth grinding overland bosses in Rivenspire however I got my staves dropped from standard skeevers :D

The odds of getting one of those is insanely low..... not worth the time

Via crafting writs and some happy accidents.

I'm only at about 2 million, though. Not sure if that's considered rich.

It's weird but sometimes the best gears drop few moments you entered a new zone. I got that lightning Staff from a skeever in first several minutes after entering Rivenspire. And alredy got 2 lightning and single flame Staff. It's worth the time, and that region is also very nice to visit and play.

You are rich if you are able to buy a Notable House for gold, without spending a single crown.
You are a mogul if you can buy yourself Estates, also for gold only.

I have total 3.8 mil in gold between all my toons over 3 years of moderate game play. I simply accumulated the money over time and never paid for something that could be grinded or there was a substitute. If you want the BIS always gold gear youre going to have to be broke a lot.

As an example, Hundings Rage has always been a spectacular Med armor set. You only need one, you gold one. Same with seducers for sustain.

You craft your own stuff (potion, glyphs) and when you get an exceptional drop you dont need (I recently get a necropotence neck drop) you sell it high and bank the money.

You can craft and make good money in this game, if you have a guild store in a city that has undaunted those are premium spots.

Whilst gold comes hard and fast, I think it was considerably easier to become a multi-million goldaire at the beginning. Even take it up to the point when they introduced glass motifs. On Xbone i could sell those things easily for 50k per page. Nirn gear was a lot more expensive and so on. I made millions easily. A little bit more effort os required now. Not much. but a little but more.

    I'm still on the journey.

I want to get into the motif selling business, but there's the slight issue of me wanting to collect them all.

So far I've made 40k selling my spares though.

Wouldn't say I have a fortune. I've racked up about a million in cash currently, because I spent a fair amount on the Imperial Home.

Honestly, most of my money has come from doing trials and getting the liquid gold that drops, but a lot of that goes towards buying potions.

When I wanted to buy a house I farmed alchemy ingredients mostly, and made some money off of selling weapons I'd collected over past year.
Make PC NA raiding great again!

    Down with drama!

I made about a million/week for probably six weeks just laboriously doing trading guild stuff. I would buy low and sell high with alchemy reagents and then I moved on to selling tempers. I sold a stack of 200 tempering alloys when it was 9k a piece and that made me a nice nest egg. Then I realized that there isn't much to spend gold on in this game (if you aren't into housing) and I really only like PvP so I'd rather spend my time doing that.

You can get all the motifs if you haven't yet
