Hi all,

My girlfriend and I are thinking of coming back to play the elder scrolls online. We played in the initial beta when it first came out and then got distracted from gaming for quite a while. Now we're back and we're ready to give this game a shot.

I have 2 questions for you guys.

1. I'm going to be buying myself a copy and also one for my girlfriend. Is this possible?

2. What edition is the regular edition? I noticed there are 4 or 5 different versions to pick from the drop down menu. It's a little confusing as to what the current main regular game is. So can you guys let me know?

Thanks for any help you can give. It's much appreciated!

    1 - Yes

2 - The white one is the regular edition. Gold has DLCs. Morrowind has Morrowind.

3 - Play how you want to play, have fun be creative and don't worry about the meta. It's a game, after all. Have fun with it.

Morrowind has both the new chapter of Morrowind plus the base game but not the DLCs. Make sure you buy the regular edition of Morrowind and not the upgrade version. There is a collector's edition but I doubt it's worth it in your circumstances.

    1. Yes if you play on Pc. If you are console things may be different

    2. Standard edition is the white one. Others include DLCs or the new Chapter Morrowind.

    3. Roll a Magicka Sorc. I am anticipating your question on which kind of character to choose.

Deleted, I couldn't answer your question regarding the edition. I've been with Steam for years and played the game previously, so I just downloaded and reinstalled it from them.

    Good luck.

I would recommend getting the Morrowind version as to standard or collectors that's up to you. The other DLCs are included with a monthly sub automatically or you can purchase them with crowns. I personally believe that monthly sub is worth it for the other extras that you get with it outside of the DLCs but if you're wanting to check it out for a bit without purchasing a subscription you'll still have plenty to do with just the Morrowind version.

    Welcome back!

Game has only gotten better. A great way to bond is decorating a house if I might suggest. Also some quest requires dous so you are all good.

    1) Certainly it's possible to buy 2 copies of the game. I am sure they more than welcome it. Though if you want to gift here a copy it's easier done in a different outlet say... amazon or steam.

2)Morrowind edition is a better choice. Together you and her could do battlegrounds which trust is more fun when you do it with friends or non-strangers.

Note for console: I heard they can share the standard edition of the game, but not morrowind.
