Balanced mag/stam Dunmer Nightblade DPS?

I just created a new character (my second one, so i guess i'm still kinda new at the game) and he's a Dunmer -- mainly because I think the Dunmer are cool, not for any stat benefits -- and I wanted to play a DPS(ish?) Nightblade. I know the Dunmer get a bonus to both their max stamina and max magicka, as well as a bonus to magicka regen, so would it be viable to play a balanced build? If not for PVP or Dungeons/world bosses, then at least for PVE? I'm prolly thinking about this too much for a character I just want to have fun with lol. I just want to make sure that when I get to level 40 I'm not finding it difficult to even kill anything

Due to thier bonus to fire damage dumner are at thier best with inferno staffs but they can make good magicka nighblades.

The stamina regen is just useful for if you need to block or roll dodge.
You can put a couple of fire enchants on dual wielding swords I guess...

If you really want to play Hybrid you will do less damage, (damage scales off your max stat) but if you don't care about being the best you can do it for fun. (plus you can always reset your skills if you don't like it) I haven't actually played it just theory crafting it.

For gear You have a bunch of choices.
    Penial's aptitude and Shacklebreaker crafted
    Strygian and Undaunted Unweaver dropped.

I actually have no idea which is better.. perhaps you can do some googling to see if you can find a good set up.

You end up with a mix of magicka and stamina abilities while dual wielding swords. You have a cloak to give you invisibility and you have to always be light attacking to fuel your Grim focus.

You also have the option to be a Magicka tank and being a hybrid tank is perfectly normal.

I ran a high-functioning Bosmer Pelinals hybrid DPS/ Sap-tank for months, it was a blast in 4 person content. If I dropped the shield and used DW, the single target DPS without potions was basically 1/2 what it would have been with a pure stamina build. The AOE damage was fairly decent, actually better in some instances. The survivability was astounding with Sap Essence, vigor, funnel health, blood craze, Bloodthirst, refreshing path. Even if those skills were hitting and healing half as hard as they should have been, technically I was a tank, so it was perfectly fine in my opinion. Soloing world bosses was a cakewalk. I haven't seriously tried it with a Staff though, I'm sure a Dunmer could lift damage a little. My Bosmer with a staff and did OKish AOE DPS, but the single target DPS was 1/3 of a pure stamina build.
