Being a MMO fan I played all the big titles out there but never at launch. Usually I'd arrive 2 years later to the party. I always felt frustrated for not being part of the Day 1 community. Somehow I never felt part of it no matter how much I integrated. It's why I ended up leaving those games behind.

It is my understanding the games mostly sucked with problems during their first days but then everything improved over time. I had the chance to play ESO from Day 1, being an Elder Scrolls maniac I followed the game 1 year before it was released. I told myself this time I'd stick around no matter what.

Won't lie to you, some factors made me want to cancel my sub once or twice (performance issues, DK nerfs) but I had invested too many hours (8,000 on my main) and money (almost 3 years of sub ahead because game cards) in the game. Looking back now I still have things I dislike about the game, things I hate about the direction the game seems to be going but it's a hell lot better than Day 1.

Like life, ESO is a box of surprises. You never know when you be buffed or nerfed, when they will come with a chapter, expansion, DLC nomeclature to milk more money. On the other hand there have been neat surprises like Housing and One Tamriel. I guess I'm a gambler.

In my honest unbiased opinion. ESO is worth what it provides me whilst being cheap for the amount of hours of fun it provides. Here in Brazil a date doesn't go for less than $100 and lasts about 4 hours with a happy finish. For that I get more than anything I'd ever need in ESO for the whole month haha!

I never understand why the extra options with the Polls by the OP. I am OK with the polling (phrasing) however the extra options are superfluous.

I'm not subscribed and did not subscribe much in the past

I was subscribed when it was mandatory and only for the first 6 months, I stopped playing after only 3 months not including the bonus 3 days early access and first free month. I did not return until the game went free to play, I have not paid for a subscription since nor will I ever again. I have paid for 4 5500 crown packs when they're on sale, more likely I will do that again in the future; mostly I buy character slots and a few race changes, I never do crates or cosmetic items.

Brian Wheeler and Matt Firor are my heros since DAoC and it really hurts to see how 3 faction PvP looks like 2 decades later. (performance) These guys created something special together with Mythic Entertainment but comparing developers passion for gaming and performance today is a real nightmare.

Your fans and followers know how passionated you are since you work for this industry, please don't throw this over board. Please remember how you have started, you are pioneers when it comes to 3 faction PvP.

We all know that marketing and revenue is more important than ever before but as a friend and gamer I remind you that there is a bit more todo to for keeping your customers happy.

Matt , your vision was "kick ass pvp" that's why you hired Brian again for TESO, how about kick ass performance?
Yes, it's expensive but worth it and I am certain you are able to convince any investor because quality wins.

I have a 6 month subscription and was planning on renewing in August when it runs out, but decided to cancel and won't be renewing until they improve their server performance. It's not so much the lag, I can deal with that, but the consistent crashes that has pushed me away from staying an ESO+ member.

After ZOS took my money and ran. Basically told me to *** off I'm a *** for buying Morrowind for BGs. I stopped my 6 month sub from recurring last month.

Had ZOS gave me back my money. I'd held it tell they fixed BGs, continued the sub. And if they fixed BGs I would've brought Morrowind again. But since ZOS decided to rip me and other PvPers off. I don't think I can bring my self to sub again.

Basically since ZOS decided to take my money without providing me the content or refund I paid for. I farther spoke with my wallet. Funny thing was, that my 6 month sub came off of cycle the following month. So instead of getting the $77, and maybe the $60 down the road. They just got the $60 that they took, with more then likely no chance at making farther money off of me.

Currently playing Elite Dangerous, Smite, and some GW2. I do hope someone kills from the outside kills ESO. ZOS would have deserved every bit of it. GGWP dumb a s ses.

I've finally subscribed for the first time recently, mainly because I needed more Crowns. Plus the Crown crates that they offered was a bonus, though I didn't get anything good. Subscribed and likely to remain so. The advantages (crafting bag!) are good and I do not mind to support the game that way.

I only just subbed recently. I would have been subbing this whole time had I realized how wonderful the crafting bag is. I can do so much more in less time: less trips to the bank or merchants to unload stuff, no more passing mats through the bank between characters. Freedom while out exploring, to be able to run around fields and pick all the flowers I see and chase butterflies, just like I do irl.

Also being a master crafter and working with most motifs, it's darn handy.

I've decided that I wont renew until something is done about Resource Poisons; they are too OP to exist in this game with no means of counterplay against them...

Until they do this, they are not getting one more dime of my money...

Let me tell you all, I once got mad that PC originally needed a subscription in order to play the game. I quit for 6 months, without playing on PC (even though I did try it with subscription)

I then decided to try again on PS4, "Originally NA server" later on when subscription no longer required. I went ahead and became a subscriber after all. To this day I still am a subscriber, I will continue to be one. But at same time, I could've still play on PC lol. Funny how things change in the long run.

The only reason I had to unsubscibe for a few days was that most months have 31 days, not just 30 so the date kept moving. I only get paid on the first so having the date shift could have seriously damaged my finances if I hadn't unsubscibed.
