Sprint build advice

I have been gathering gear for a sprint build, mainly used for wearing while gathering mats, writs, etc. So far I have an Orc with all points in stam, with Fiords/Cowards gear and Steed mundus. Anyone have opinions/advice for better or different gear sets?

Thanks!

    Well Fitted Traits helps.

Also, there is a gear set that restores Magic while sprinting, forget what right now. Anyway, if your Orc is a Sorcerer, then you can sprint and streak pretty much forever.
Enjoy the game, life is what you really want to be worried about.

I made a build some months ago with fjord & darkstride, steed and speed potions to test out if I could sprint forever. And I could, with literally no stamina issues at all (potion would replenish spent stamina on sprinting). Was fun and felt more like a driving game in 1st person than an mmo.

My preference for a sprint build (I run one on my Stamblade most of the time for the same reason) is a combo of Fiords and Jailbreaker (drops in Darkshade). If just talking about speed, essentially Jailbreaker gives minor expedition and Cowards gives major expedition. These buffs dont stack, but if trying t max speed, you want them both.

Unless you are a stam sorc, you likely dont have access to minor expedition. Everyone can get major expedition with rapid maneuvers. Even on a sorc, RM lasts longer than hurricane, so from a button pressing standpoint, its more efficient to cast rapids and run jailbreaker then to spam hurricane and run Cowards. That said, on a stam sorc, you have options. On every other class, Fiords + Jailbreaker + rapid Maneuvers is where its at.

Other things that help, both Orc and Steed mundus as you mentioned are preferable. In terms of armor traits, well fitted will give you more endurance, and divines (with steed) will boost your top end speed a bit. I run a mixture of the two. The last thing to consider is that their are some CP passives that boost movement speed. I dont remember which ones off the top of my head, but its pretty obvious if you read the tool tips. Put all that together and you will fly!

Prisoners is the set. My favorite set in the game.
You can proc it at any moment as long you add a "Sprint" into your rotation.

It works the same as base regen except it's considered an outside source, so it's immune to poisons/CP Regen reduction star making it a very effective Regen set for PvP. But you are locked out of skills, and your Stam Regen is turned off so there are negatives to running it (pun intended). But if you reposition and are moving allot, a shift press in between battles or between rotations means you can recoop the costs of your combo chain. At gold level it's 1k mag per 243 Stam; no other set will give you this conversion! But it's hard to use effectively in combat.

If you really want to just run, then Coward's and Jailbreaker in well fitted are going to be the way to go. You'll have to use DW to make the set bonus' stack, but it's the best way to run for a long time without having to use your stam to cast expensive skills. If you are just running short distances and don't want to pop potions between mat nodes, this is probably the way to go.

Outside of sets, being an Orc will also improve your speed, and it stacks with those sets.

If you are a sorc, wear Prisoner's Rags instead of Jailbreaker/Fiords and get your minor expedition from Hurricane.

P.S. I haven't done any math on this, so since you do have the steed and are an Orc, Fiords might do more for you than Jailbreaker? You should set up a race sometime haha.

For farming I like to use nightsilence and dark stride with rapid Maneuver move fast and never have to mess with mobs because always in stealth

Only problem with using hurricane for farming is that it aggros enemies and then somebody comes in and swoops your goodies while your stuck in combat. I use fiords and jailbreaker on a stam sorc, works pretty good.

If it's only for farming and you're not worried about wearing monster helm/shoulders you don't have to worry about getting set weapons. And this can make things easier when finding pieces to fill out the sets.

Then you can craft two Night Silence weapons for the added stamina.
