EP is by far the most toxic playing experience.

Let me preface by saying i play on NA PC in sotha sil and i have characters in AD, DC and now EP. I have played extensively on AD and DC maining my sorc on DC up until i created my warden on AD. For the most part AD and DC has been pleasant, plenty of PuG groups to join jokes and what not going on in zone chat. Not bad for a solo player who sometimes likes joining a group for some quick ap.

I race changed my sap tank and geared him up fo ganking in pvp for the event coming up. He just so happens to be on EP. Right of the bat some guy was making fun of me becuase i had difficulty taking a resource. No helpful hints no off heals just "pfft you are having trouble with that ... noob". I had not got my skills morphed or my rotation fogired out yet so i shrugged it off. The constant arguing in zone about who is better or worse... who has dumb ideas constant name calling and just general Displesentness...(is that a word). Seeming no PuG groups weither that be good or bad. The elitist ego is strong in the air of ep.

Me being a troll that i am i am going to have fun on ep but for any new players looking for a fun time go AD or DC.

I can't see an entire faction being toxic and terrible, more just the ones who want to be heard.

Its my experience so far, maybe its just a handful of players maybe not but atleast the vocal ones have just been terrible.

Sorry to hear that, i wasnt online yesterday usually im(DR) very kind to my pugs (i give them free siege.) that play on sotha sil. But yea EP on sotha sil right now is very hard on New Ep players. Currently there are 3 DC zerg guilds, FENGRUSH and alot of good 1vXers here on DC. on ad there are also like 4 organized ad groups , tm and a cheat engine guild known as "**********". There are no PuG groups here, Vivec might be better for you.

I think that "git gud" mentality comes from a sect (meaning not all - just some) of noCP players who need to justify their preference for noCP. When noCP was first announced - it was kind of laughed at and not taken seriously until some major guilds like Darkest Requiem, Einherjar and Tertiary Meat committed to it.

Once those guilds provided credibility to the playstyle, you then had the PvP streamers vehemently promoting noCP and ushering in its "more competitive" reputation.

My point is: so noCP wasnt taken seriously at the start and over time its gained popularity but the fact that the CP campaigns remain more populated, and more competitive scoreboard-wise, instills the subconscious or conscious notion that maybe noCP isnt the "true" way to PvP. So players who have adapted to the playstyle feel that accomplishment and seek to validate themselves by ushering that noCP is "the real man's" pvp.

TL;DR - its typical epeen. They can solo a resource on noCP and you cant. ha-ha. its bull[snip] but that is humanity.

Tips: kite the melee into the tower, kill them, then aggro more into the tower and rinse and repeat. It is in fact very easy if you can manage your resources and ensure you stay healed and buffed.
Note: if you are below 45% hp - stop what you are doing and heal. no exceptions. in fact some would argue thats too low.

i dont know i find cp campaigns ALOT more easy to 1vX than no CP. CP is too EZ, you can build a glass cannon and still be tanky thanks to CP.

Er...wasn't there just another thread by someone else who claimed EP was the least toxic?

I've played on all three factions and suspect they are all about the same. You see a lot of the same kind of stuff in zone chat no matter what faction, just depends on who happens to be playing at the time.

Try AD zone chat in Vivec. It can get pretty bad. I turn my zone off most of the time unless I need to report an enemy zerg movement.

I'm on Sotha Sil currently. Mainly because a couple of guildies of mine talked me into running with them. Basically we just watch each other's backs while we quest, skyshard hunt, and shenanigans.

it's pretty difficult to get a clear picture of someone just from the words and images they use in a public forum...over time though - i do think folks' true nature and tendacies leak out a bit (even those of us whom like to stay hidden)...
