Which is best for VMA

Which do you believe is better in VMA: Stam build or Mag builds? Also is Stam sorc still good/ decent in PvE?

Personally, I use a magicka sorc ... but both can do quite well at vMA with practice.

I voted mag since most of my characters are mag builds. However, I'm sure if I took my stam sorc in there the outcome would be pretty similar.

I only run it on stam builds but I have done easier runs with a mag sorc.

Magicka builds tend to be far more forgiving.
As I understand, stam is far better when you play really well.

Best scores in the world are all mag sorc/nb. Stamina toons have not been able to breach 600k since 1 tamriel.

Stamina is very much so still good for PvE. Maelstrom's axe and dagger, Twice-Fanged Snake, and Vicious Ophidian can make all content appear easy mode.

Even a crappy player like me can pass vMA with a MagSorc.

Sure.. but you don't really need all that glorified stuff for PvE. Spriggin, Sword Swingers will melt them down just fine for stam. Combo with something like DKS or Ravaging, and you can solo comfortably and also contribute effectively in trials or vet dungeons. It also depends on what skills you're using. Spamming light bow shots or Dizzying Swing isn't going to cut it, of course. Ha ha

Wards, good dps at range, vigor need casting every 6 secs and is very expensive. It's not even close.

its what you play most with i guess. to those who play both- magicka is meant to be easier but i find being able to attack and heal at the same time- i.e. mag plar- jabs, stam sorc - crit surge-, mag sorc- surge, mag nb- refreshing path, resolve, etc - the easiest for those reasons.
having to keep shields up, or bar swap and heal or put up shields , etc always does me in.

I've only done vMA on 4 toons, stam sorc, magplar, magsorc and mag DK. I've only got multiple completions on my stam sorc and magplar, which were the two easiest for me. Stam sorc is what gets me my highest scores and only one I have flawless on.

Clears: Stamplar (flawless), Stamblade, mag sorc. While my mag sorc was easy, my best score by far was my stamplar.

It's probably because I am a scrubby stamina main, but I tried magplar and magblade and nope after rounds 1 and 5, respectively. Hoping for stamwar clear soon

I voted Stam because I've the most success in VMA with my Stam Sorc.

Otherwise I guess magicka would be better since it's easier to recover resources. And yes, Stam Sorc is still good in PvE, not as good as DK when it comes to pure single target, but very good nonetheless.

Mag absolutely, ranged attacks and the big thing is shields, esp the mag sorcs, hardened ward so good.
I would say stam sorcs have an easier time than the rest of the stam classes though, hurricane and crit surge ftw
