Missing Crown Crates - Possible Reason?

I like many others are missing my opportunity to extract another fantastic Nix Hound pet. I got 3 of my expected 5 crates from the promo after Mondays maintenance.

I know there's a thread discussing missing crates but I had a thought as to why we might be missing them.

Was the algorithm used to distribute the crates based on AMERICAN time and not the timezone of the end user?

This would make sense because if I log on at 7pm my time, it's 7am in server time. If I go to bed and come back and sign on at say 9am the following morning it's still the same day in the US (9PM).

So although I've actually logged on all 5 days, because the algorithm was run based on server time.. it means we get short changed..

Is this accurate ZOS?

This was brought up a couple of days ago and is true, don't think the difference is 12 hours though more like 6 or 7.

The article announcing the event did say it was based on US EDT. So, yes, it is possible that you did not log in once during each 24 hour day based on US East coast time.

Ok sometimes forget the world is bigger than UK and USA since most here write in very good English but yeah, pretty sure a lot got screwed in UK too so you won't be alone.

It stated the following on the original announcement:

"You must log in between 12:00am EDT and 11:59pm EDT (Eastern) on each day of the event."
