Purple gear still keep their gold tier stats or drop down to purple tier

    Gold enchants keep their stats only on jewelry ie. rings and necklaces.

    So if I put gold enchants on purple armour it'll drop?

    Yes.
    I'm not sure by exactly how much but it drops if you enchant your purple armour with gold enchantments.

    No, gold enchantments are gold enchantments. Unless the item is infused your armor improvement wont affect the enchantment's power.

    Yes, the gold enchant will be equivalent to a purple enchantment on purple weapons and armor. If you upgrade the gear to gold after applying a gold enchant to the gear while it was purple, the enchantment will increase to the value of the original gold enchantment, I believe.

    If you apply a purple glyph to a purple weapon or piece of armor, upon upgrade of the weapon or armor, the enchant will remain at the value of the purple glyph.

    Upgrades to dropped weapons or armor will upgrade the existing enchantment as well, but only if the enchantment was what the armor/weapon came with in the first place.

    @Tyrobag
    Forgive me if I'm wrong but previously, iirc, the enchantment value drops when I enchanted a purple head piece with a gold enchantment.
    If I'm indeed dead wrong, please correct me as I'm merely speaking out of my limited experience. :)

    The only time a gold enchant on armour of ANY colour drops in level is when it is put on the four "smaller" pieces, however that is true for all colour enchants.........

    So Legs, Head and Chest get full value of enchant, Gloves, Waist, Shoulders and Feet get a lower value.....

    Maybe this is the cause of the confusion? :)
