Morrowind paintings

Dumb question, but are these lootable in morrowind chests or are they only available to buy for crowns through the decorator interface in your house? I have not seen any drop or cannot find any on GT's.

They can be looted from chests but I believe maybe only high tier chests.

I have one from a thieves trove, but that suffers the bug where you can't launder it.

Oh okay thanks for the info. Been farming chests and troves all week and not one. Are they as rare as the BA motifs too?

I can't say on that sorry. I have not had any BA motifs and only one painting.

That said I haven't been farming much, just the ones I come across.

I also haven't found any, even after opening multiple advanced and master chests

Farm safe boxes they're found there, I've had five since Morrowind came out but didn't start farming until recently (start of this month)

I have found 2 paintings, both from overland chest and safe box. (Edit: gah)

However, 1 of them couldn't be laundered. Search at your own risk (until Update 15)
