Crown Store Currency Issue

Hello there.

First of all, English isn't my first language, I may screw it up, sorry in advance :)

Just wanted to share an embarrassing issue that me and people where I live having. And also I'd like to ask a question to marketing team or whoever decides these things.

I'm neither EU citizen nor my currency is Euro. But when I buy crowns or eso+ store forces me to make my purchases in euros and where I live euro worth 4 times more than my currency.
Steam store actually converts euro to my currency right but I purchased this account before you released the game on steam so there's no way I can buy crowns via steam store.

Let me give you some numbers here:

3000 crown via store 13 euros, about 54TRL. Steam store sells 3000 crowns for 42 TRL.

First question, will you ever let us link our accounts to steam, because it's %20 cheaper makes spending money a little less painful.

Second question, do you have any plans to regulate prices for non eu or us citizens?

For example spotify premium is 15TRL here and in UK it's around 15GBP (70TRL) . Spotify knows what purchasing power is so they adapt their pricing for each country. Do you have any plans to do something similar and make your fans from other countries happy?

Shame, even I have a good monthly salary here compared to rest of the country, I'm thinking thrice before I click purchase. I wanted that breton hero armor today. I was so ready to buy some crates. Then I realized that I can buy GTAV for the same amount of money that I'd pay for 5000 crowns. So I cancelled it.

I hope this gets an answer.

Thank you.

You can link your ESO account to steam, I believe you need to have purchased the game through steam first. Once it's downloaded use your current account when logging in and I think it'll start the linking process.

That should enable you to purchase in the currency you want.

You'll just have to purchase ESO on steam I believe before the link can happen.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm not sure if that workaround works, never tried myself or heard anybody do that. If so, I'll have to buy another eso account that I'll never use. but worth it.

It depends on the business and their revenue needs.

If a company wants to be viewed as a truly global service, they'll be more sensitive toward exchange rates, even with certain liabilities involved.

If a company sees certain regions as a heightened risk for fraud, they'll either refuse payments or leave a higher exchange as a hedge against fraudulent payments.

Steam is an okay option. But PayPal supports multi-currency, and you can change your default currency to one of 24 currency codes. If you cannot use PayPal, then that lines up with the heightened risk. But you probably can so I'd try that first.

Log in to your PayPal account.
Click Money at the top of the page.
    Click Manage Currency.
Choose the currency to make Primary

I suggested it because I actually have a steam version of the game, got it when it first launched on steam.

When they released the ability to link your ESO account to steam the first time I launched the game and went to log on post that update it asked me to link my account. I didn't want to do that so I uninstalled via steam and got the launcher from my account section here.

Same thing happened to my brother and he also switched launchers.

So it gives me the impression if you buy the game via steam then launch it, it'll give that option.
