I hate Molag Bal's current voice.

There is a ton of VO actors in this game. Go watch the last ESO Live for a tally of that number.

Funny, I think molag bals voice is perfect. Its actually intimidating and less human than the one in skyrim. The one in skyrim sounds like an edgy teenager with an echo filter.

An example of a bad guy done right would be the voice acting of Speak Terenus. And if you take one look at the guy who is doing the voice you'll know why. Some people simply radiate evil.

The possessed house in Skyrim was absolutely terrifying . I do like the new actor as well . I think both are great .

Fair enough. I just always imagined something more sadistic and malicious for Molag Bal. In ESO, he's always sounded more like a generic lord of destruction than a God of Schemes.

SAY WHAT?!?! ya'll must not have played the game at launch, in fact i know you didnt. MB sounded like a complete rush job PANSY at launch and they revoiced him to sound more menacing - it was a relief the current MB voice is fantastic!!! I love when he taunts the players at a Dolmen

I think I vaguely remember Verandis, the vampire from Rivenspire right?

It is more difficult to voice villains because - and as the OP points out - there needs to be a level of intimidation involved. Not everyone can pull it off. And that is an element that usually shows up in a person's countenance as well as their voice.

This game has a lot of excellent voice-work. Probably the best on the market as far as MMORPGs go. Even Molag Baal's voice is not bad. It just doesn't instill a sense of fear - at least not with me.

His voice kind of reminds me of that guy with needles in his face who is suppose to be real scary but who ends up just making me laugh.

Malcolm McDowell is a god among men, who better to serve as Molag Bal's voice actor. I think the choice was rather perfect.

There are many things to complain about in this game, but the main voice actors are not among them. Now there may be some lack of variety in small NPC voices but that's just because of practical reasons. Still better than in skyrim though, where male humans had like 2 varieties and that was it.
