a) How fun is Stam Sorc ?. Since most of the Sorc spells and abilities are Magicka I am worried this Stam Spec may be lackluster like Stam Templar

b) I have always used Clannfear as such I am curious about the other morph Volatile Familiar. What is its purpose ?. Does Volatile Familiar do damage/heal or tank ?

I don't know how fun they are to use, but I have seen stamina sorcerers melt adds and destroy bosses in veteran dungeons like no other. I believe the Volatile morphs into a banekin/scamp and can do a pulse attack which is a pretty decent AOE attack

Some of the sorcerer skills have nice stamina morphs. Dark exchange can be converted into Dark deal and it restores stamina and health. Bound Armor can be converted to Bound Armaments increasing max stamina and heavy attack damage.

Converting Surge into Critical surge is also helpful for powering up spell and weapon damage and with a small heal effect

1) stamsorc is powerfull but u will feel lack of class abilities, be sure
surge, hurricane, bound armor and utility - rune prison and dark deal. not very much and ANY spammable class abilities.
its "storm knight", weapon buffer, he do this well, but only this

2) when u go end game content u delete clanfear and use ONLY familiar
clanfear is for soloing, no more. and pets are only for mana sorc i end-game
