So I am just now returning to ESO and am trying to update my magsorc. I am thinking 5 lich 2 infernal guardian and 3 willpower? I think this would probably work for BGs and regular Cyrodiil. I would use VMA but RIP my RNG and can only get bows.

If you stick with lich. have one staff of the set on the back bar. When magicka gets low switch to the back bar to activate the set. That gives you the ability to have a second 5 pc set on the front bar by having that weapon be for that set and still have 2 slots available for a monster set, or anything else.

Of course the chances for a weapon drop are lower than armor pieces, but at least the trait aspect will improve with the next update.

Shacklebreaker / Amberplasm / Lich
Some combo of those will be very solid for regen and stam management. The hardest counter to Mag Sorc is getting out of stam from constant CCs. If you get stunned and can't break free, you are dead

You dont need 5 lich at all times dude you arr limiting your build.

Lich is great because you dont have to have it on both bars to proc it. So you can run 5-5-2

Willpower is a bad set in pvp doesnt offer much compared to another 5pc.

And sticking with infernal guardian is nice

yea, but requires the back bar that you would not use much except for buffs or occasional stuff to complete the lich set so you have war maiden most of the time.

I use 5 lich 5 seducer and monster set. works ok for me, I'm not massive pvp player tho so I'm sure there's better builds

The thread linked below explains weapon drops in dungeons. While Trials it is a little different since there are more bosses and there is a chance with each chest, the information in the link is still fairly relevant in describing why it take so long to get a worthy weapon to drop.

With the changes currently on the PTS it is possible more traits will be usable which would help to a degree.

Edit: summing up the pertinent part of the article. The final boss of a dungeon has a chance to drop jewelry, shield or weapon. The competition is between the three while each of the bosses before then drop armor. Multiple chance for armor and a dice roll to even get a set bonus weapon in the end. The article lists the odds.
