Hi
I have been playing game around a month now and have various characters but my main is a Breton nb level 22, which I seem to be having problems progressing with.
been told different things such as Bretons are not good stamina build and shouldn't wear medium armour and stick with dual wield weapons which has me confused.
any structured advice would be appreciated please.

Bretons are more of a Magicka race, so they are actually better off wielding staves and wearing Light Armor

However, you can still play as a Stamina build with them if you want. For funzies :p Race only matters if you're trying to minmax for certain endgame content

do a google search or head to the tamriel foundry website to pick up a good build for magic NB. they are incredibly fun after you learn what they're all about - esp because it's the only class able to zip around the map in perma-stealth (only class with cloak).

for example...want to kill a delve boss without having to fight your way in? cloak to the boss and bypass all the trash.

Where you the same person I was trying to help make a hyrbrid Breton blade before?

The short answer is that just being a Magicka Nightblade will make a much more powerful character. But you'll be using a staff (lighting or fire) rather than daggers and a bow.

In that case you put all your numbers into magicka.

If you really want to play Hybrid you will do less damage but if you don't care about being the best you can do it for fun. (plus you can always reset your skills if you don't like it) I haven't actually played it just theory crafting it.

For gear You will want Pelinal's Aptitude and Stygian and Molag Kena moster helmet probably. In medium.

I think due to Breton passives you will probably still want to put most of your points into Magicka just to amp your +% magicka bonuses.

Basically you will have the ability to use all the NB shadow magics whille also having your attacks with your daggers deal a lot of damage. You will have lots of magicka to cloak to triggers the Stygian 5 piece bonus. The nightblade ability Grim focus wants you to attack a lot with your nightblade so having lots of weapon damage will really amp what you gain from that (when using daggers)

You would mostly use Magicka abilities but with things like Blade cloak (from dual wield) and endless hail (from bow). You can also use any ultimate and it will scale from your highest stat.

The biggest issue is that you have a lot less critical chance that a normal build has and fairly small resource pools (but very high regen). If you are just running around questing this is perfectly fine and only becomes and issue with hard to kill bosses.

All in all it seems like it would be a ton of fun, but I am not sure on how effective it would be.

I'd just play on with it. Don't worry about it. If you want to be another race when you reach end game, and you feel it matters, get a race change from the crown store. If you want to try a magicka nightblade later, what you can do now is leveling up your destro and resto stave skill lines by putting a skill from each line on your bar. Alternatively, put them on your bar just before you do a quest hand in, and then switch back when done.

No need to re-roll. Really. Just have fun. Explore the game. Do the quests. This world has some seriously good lore. End game is not going anywhere anyway.

Don't worry about builds now either. Put a skill from each line (including weapons) on your bar. Kill stuff with the first two to three skills and use the rest to level the skills. So... explore and have fun
