Advice on Luxury Bedroom Design

I'm looking for some advice on making an luxury style bedroom.

My two main characters are brother and sister with the sister being the vain indulgent one, I want her room to reflect that but I am struggling with idea. They're both Dunmer as well so if things are closer to a Dunmer theme the better.

When you say "luxury style", what do you mean? Something like the style of Redoran/Hlaalu (I like those ones) or even Telvanni beds added with Morrowind?

Actually, before that I would ask, what house do you own/plan to use for that stylish bedroom?

So the house is the the Amaya Lake Lodge, I have her bedroom/room as the first floor one (her brothers is the very top room to answer you first question).

So far I am using the Vivec bed as that was one of the most extravagant I could find. His throne as a sofa, I have some pillows strewn about the floor etc.

I kind of just want that feeling of showing off wealth and luxury in a vain stuck up noble way. As I hit a creative wall I figured other peoples ideas is always good to gather inspiration.

I'm planning to split the bed area off with some dividers and have it as a more intimate area, whilst the main room being more in your face wealth.

Lots of mirrors for sis then. Nearby lighting helps highlight the mirror's cloudy reflect.

Kajit and redguard furniture can be pretty fancy even at green and blue level quality.

The reguard stuff does have some opulence to it for sure!

I've added/changed in a lot of the house since I took the footage but if you ever pop into the NA server and want to have a look around let me know. Would be happy to give you access and/or tour

Mirrors, and the vanity that people above mentioned and lots of candles.

Don't forget to pick up that nice bathtub when it comes out next patch at the writ vendor. It would look nice 'hidden' behind on or two of those Dres dividers. Put some candles near it. And use one or two dream shards to make the water look really blue. Add a side table next to it with a bottle of wine and drapes.

Edit: Did you already pick up that golden chest from the Thieves Guild Achievement Vendor? Expensive, but it does show off wealth. Yours and hers. :P

I'd do lots of paintings, fancy tapestries and banners - stuff that brags about how glorious your deeds and/or lineage is to the casual observer.

And if you've got a glass or plates lying around, they should be the fanciest most opulent plates you can find. Any food displayed should be expensive, exotic, or both; no common bland stews.

I don't know if there's a makeup case, hair brushes or similar grooming items but if there is (or you have something that could pass as same) that would probably be a good piece for the sister.

Oh and masses of sconces and candles in strategic places. Plants....loads of exotic greenery.

I don't think the OP needs to stick with dunmer style stuff, so I also recommend redguard style. A lot of redguard items are very gold - the dividers, chandeliers, incense, etc. the decorative bottles and pillows are also great with their designs

To make an extravagantly decorated room you can put three khajjiit beds together, throw some lush tapestries or rugs on the wall, then add some pillows and complete the look with a sexy white tiger. And place 1-2 candles behind the pillows to create a dramatic soft lighting effect.

Dunmer furniture is a bit grim looking as the stern dark elves are. Just look at their sad rugs. I would try keeping Dunmer furniture but mix with plenty of Khajiiti rugs, dividers and pillows, plus redguard red awnings to outside ( some of them named as tents) and pillows. Redguard reds and Khajiiti reds mix up quite well. But i don't know how they fit into Amaya Lake style or size, never thought about it.

These pictures show the Serenity Falls stable turned into tropical luxury suite. The awnings are Redguards, everything else is Khajiiti or common.

Yes, definitely add these items. Another nice redguard item are the chandeliers. I tend to use these for many of my homes, because they are nice and golden, and also give good light.
