Lantern of Anguish Nerfed?

The lantern of anguish used to kick out just a red glow, then it was updated in a patch a while back to have flames and give out much more light, but following this week's patch alas my lanterns have reverted to their previous weak red glow (yes, I checked they are on). They were far cooler with the flames and gave off tons more eerie light. Was this a mistake?

@ZOS Please make them brighter again!

It was unintended, and a lot of people were complaining about the huge ass fire they created, people bought the lanterns of anguish to obtain a creepy, red aura. If you want ordinary fire, there's a ton of items which already provide that already.

They reverted them but made a copy of the "flaming" version - Daedric chandelier, spiked - which they sold at the luxury vendor weekend just gone.

Yeah I know that's what I just said lol. But I missed the luxury version and am now stuck with the useless version.

I bought those lanterns when they were bright. I never knew they were supposed to be dim. I bought one to test it, I placed it in my house and liked it so I bought 5 more. They are 5k each, so I spent $30k total. Now they are useless to me.

This company is so unorganized. They could've fixed the lantern in a way where there was a 3 way toggle (bright flame---dim light---off) instead of on--off, but they didn't.

They could've fixed it so we were able to sell these items back to the vendor full price. But they didn't. Now I'm out 30k gold.

I'm losing faith in this company.

In golden furniture vendor inside of Hollow City you can buy same lantern as Anguish one but with the fire on it.
