It was supposed to be the next Craglorn area. Also Mephala's Realm is nowhere to be seen. At least we are finally getting Clockwork City.

Murkmire became the two dungeons DLC in Shadowfen. (We think).

    As for mephala's realm?

It seems, if you listen to the story carefully, and think about it, that Mephala's Realm has a link to the Clockwork City, so I suspect that will be included in the Clockwork City DLC.

    Errrr.. no.

The only thing I have seen from Bethesda was that Murkmire would be ES6, maybe. Since that is 2 not even started development releases in the future, before they start development on, we are talking 10ish years before we see Murkmire, IF they decide to theme it that.

    It never was for ESO.

    Where is new content? Sigh.

I have been surprised many times by waiting to see what come next, and never was that surprise a good thing. Always ended in massive disappointment, then rage, then grief... then bargaining... then death!

Murkmire was definitely in development for ESO as seen on this video:

If you kept up at all with eso over the past few years then you would know all the fail of that statement.

My guess? Scrapped and its assets reused and repurposed.

Not a big loss. Craglorn was a shambles of a zone until they fixed part of it in One Tamriel and black marsh is probably the most boring province in Tamriel.

I would honestly love a definitive answer to this question. When i heard that Murkmire was getting redesigned, I was super-excited, as someone who is a huge fan of thee Argonians in the Elder Scrolls universe. I really hope they haven't scrapped it and just reused certain aspects of it. I will erect the spine of sorrow if that is what indeed happened. 3:

They're likely remaking it into a single player zone, as the adventure zone concept failed pretty hard.

Its relevant, if it was mostly done it would be easiest to remake it craglorn style and release it.
Instead we got lots of other stuff, make me wonder if it was far shorter in development process than most think.
Think focus after craglorn was IC and Orsinium followed by Murkmire group zone and the justice system.
We got shadow of the hist. Then Morrowind
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

There have also been a number of lore books datamined for Murkmire. Tribes of Murkmire for those who don't mind spoilers. There was another set about a Saxhleel named "Black Fin" and another about a number of Imperial invasions of Black Marsh (here) in which most of Black Marsh gets set on fire.

Yeah, this is, basically, what we were told last year. Originally the plan was for Murkmire to release after Shadows of the Hist. Then the decision came down to redo Craglorn AND Murkmire as single player friendly zones. Meaning it got bumped, and priority was put on fixing Craglorn.

I want to say this was mentioned in an ESO Live broadcast, but someone who's paid more attention may remember with more certainty.

I think the delay on the Murkmire release has been due to the fact that the Craglorn style group zone wasn't as big of a hit as they initially hoped it would be, and seeing that, didn't want to release another zone like it. They will either redo it to be much more friendly to players that do not want to have to group up, or they will take it apart and release it in a tiny chunk. I would much rather wait for it to be released as a large zone. But I would be happy with any and all large zone additions. These dungeon packs and DLC's like TG and DB just aren't my thing.

Mephala and murkmire left the building with paul sage. They are being reworked to candy land overland leveling content like morrowind. As if the games does not have enough of it
