    Scathing itself is getting a buff though with extra crit like 4% iirc. Precise being the way forward it'll prove not a huge difference after some more thorough testing.

    That was the last thing keeping magNB alive. ZoS took it away and didn't give an alternative. Massive DPS drop and it was just starting to become decent again... Have fun rolling to magSorc or exclusively playing in Cyrodiil!

    the 1st tick is direct damage and can proc scathing & narineth
    the subsequesnt ticks are a dot and can proc skoria
    but evey tick is still scaling off direct damage cp!

    Yes, Twisting Path got changed on the PTS. Yes, ticks after the first one don't proc Scathing like they do on live. And yes, if that change and only that change were made to magblades, it would hurt.

    But it's much too early to say RIP magblades just because of this change. Yes, this likely means Scathing won't be absolutely BIS for us like it is on live. But in order for that to justify your advice ("just reroll magsorc or stay out of PVE"), we would need to know that the live Scathing setup significantly outperforms the new Julianos + Lover + precise weapons setup, or whatever else we come up with in the next few weeks. I haven't seen any testing to indicate that the PTS doesn't offer magblades a setup equal or superior to the current Twisting + Scathing meta.

    Don't jump to conclusions.

    P.S. This was a huge change to leave out of the patch notes. Magblades also got a nerf in U14 that was left out of the patch notes (and still hasn't been mentioned by Gina or the devs), the nerf to Impale scaling. Get it together, ZOS.
