To the Devs: Vampire Lord Ideas/Add New Vampire Abilities

I had a few ideas for how to feasibly add Vampire Lord to ESO or even just adding a few more abilities to the current vampire skill line to fill it out and give a few more useful options for vampires. The stats bonuses are nice, but a few more clickable abilities would really add some valuable options for combat. I really think the Devs could totally make it work in the game with lore and mechanics.

Lore:
According to ES wiki sources, Vampire Lords were of the 1st and 2nd generation or basically pure blooded vampires and I believe that as long as a vampire is of pure blood as mentioned before, they essentially were already Vampire Lords. Seriously, nobody would seem to think that Lamae could potentially transform into a Lord since she is just as pure blooded as Harkon and his family? Given this line of reasoning and the fact that Lamae HERSELF has to give you HER blood in order to turn the player into her SCION due to the soulless nature of the player's character at the time of infection with the disease, (it is explained in game to you that you have 1 week to actually progress the infection to full vampirism otherwise it would pass from your body since you have no soul I'm assuming), that would mean the player is technically only 1 generation under Lamae who I presume is considered 1st generation so the case could be made that the player could somehow learn how to harness their 2nd Generation/Lesser Vampire Lord power.

Mechanics:
How would it work in game, you ask? Well, since the player is considered still less powerful as Lamae, perhaps the vampire lord form could be in strength more like a lesser version of the Vampire Lord, but it would still allow for some slight expansion of the skill line for vampires since still sucks to only have 2 abilities and an ultimate and the drain isn't even all that good compared to most other ways of healing or channeled damage.

Of course, like Werewolf, the transformation could very easily be on a timer that could be refilled from feeding on fallen enemies. Getting down on all fours like the werewolf would probably be a bit dumb looking and since vampires are more magical based creatures, the animation could be more along the line of extending out the hand and sucking the life blood out of dead enemies to refill the transform timer.

Pros/Cons:
Obviously this type of powerful transformation should have its downsides like werewolf form does. Perhaps having all the stage 3 good passives like Undeath and 10% recovery (since stage 4 would be useless since even werewolves don'd use crouch) and stage 3 or 4 health regeneration and fire damage vulnerability while in Lord form regardless of current humanoid form vampire stage. Maybe even reduced effectiveness of other players healing you, forcing you to rely on your self healing/lifesteal as a Vampire Lord. You are, after all, changing form to become more powerful so there should be a hike in the possible downsides for balance purposes.

New abilties:

Basic Attacks:
The form could also change the basic attacks of the Vampire Lord to maybe claw attacks or the ranged blood magic attack or perhaps, light attacks claws and heavy attacks being ranged blood attacks? Ranged blood attack could either be just damage or perhaps damage with Minor Lifesteal back to the player. This would be one way to bring something unique to the table. Just a thought that's all.

Bat Swarm ultimate change:
Now, since a transform like this would almost certainly be an ultimate, given the strength that the ability would probably bring with it, bat swarm could be totally reworked to be an AoE damage over time field that costs magicka but is still centered around the player. One of the morphs could turn it into a targeted AoE damage over time placed on the ground.

Claw Attack:
A new melee ability could be added to help not have stamina players feeling left out of using vampire abilities (since all current ones are best used by magicka based characters). It could be a powerful claw attack similar to what vampire bloodfiends do to you except have initial and damage over time perhaps. It could have a stamina morph that turns it into either physical or disease damage and a magicka morph that adds a small heal over time based on damage done.

Pet Summon:
The vampire's natural connection to oblivion could result in having a summoning ability I think also. Like a gargoyle or zombie? Or what about a Grievous Twilight?

Gap Closer ability:
Last idea for abilities I have is to allow access to the phase lunge that bloodfiends also do and give it some unique morphs.

Even if Vampire Lord transformation is never viable for player access, getting a few more abilities to fill out the woefully small ability selection on the vampire skill line wouldn't be a game breaking thing if done properly, and I think even a few of these changes would fill out and open up more play options centered around the vampire skill line.

Any other ideas?

The claw attack reminds me too much of the Rending slashes of the DW bar.

The summon ability could be awesome, especially for DK and Templars that don't have pets (and might want to use the Necropotence set)

Gap closer (they kinda have that with the ult update)

basic attacks - the only problem about this is scaling for level...
    Gan Xing - Crafting Nightblade
    Elrana Tinuviel - Hybrid Dragonknight
    Elentári Peregrine - Sorcerer "bank"
    Rán Xīng - Hybrid Templar
    Laurïsil Imlachwen - Stamina Templar
    Helotë Tinuviel - Hybrid/Magicka Warden
    Odin banker - obv banker
Yan of the Red Mountain - lvl 3 DK - not sure when I will work on em

Seeks the unusual and unique playstyles...

A lot of good points here! I don't think scaling for level would be too difficult. Like I said, even if Vampire Lord form never makes it into ESO for the players, a few good new abilities for the skill line would really fill it out more. It's kind of sad the state it's in now. I love the ultimate don't get me wrong but yeah.

Have you morphed the ultimate? there is a morph that allows you to teleport to an enemy. It's pretty cool.

Aside from that, I agree, the Vampire skill line could use an upgrade in choices

Yes I have and I love that new morph. Still it would be nice to have access to similar abilities that some of the vampire NPCs have. A gap closer that doesn't cost ultimate shouldn't be off the table. That and more abilities showing off the beastial and dark and blood magic aspects of vampirism in general would be nice. Hope there is something in the works to expand vampirism though.

At least one or two active damage abilities would be sweet

Yes, I'd love a couple more active abilities whether damage, buff, or whatever.

Werewolfs get a separate ability bar while transformed, a vampire does not transform, but only 2 abilities and 1 ultimate? Vampires need some love.

    Sounds like a nightblade.

Ranged blood magic attack: strife, cripple
Melee claw attack: veiled strike, killers blade
    Shadow-lunge: ambush
    Necromantic summon: dark shades
AoE damage field ultimate: veil of blades

People always want a vampire lord ability, but that is pretty much what a nightblade IS. Hell, sap essence is an aoe drain life, it even uses the blood draining animation. Strife/funnel health/swallow soul is a blood bolt. Cripple is a wave of blood surging to an enemy.

If you want to fill your bar with all "vampire abilities" go funnel health-cripple-invigorating drain-sap essence-bat swarm.
Probably want a staff of some sort, probably frost (necromancy) or resto (more life stealing).

Then put on your spoopiest outfit and maybe the new bloodforged skin and poof. Super scary spoopy vampire lord.

Not really interested in OPs ideas and few probably would. Making Vamp into his WW works will not be popular.

Even adding additional abilities would push the line to how WW works.
