This is so ironic to have the servers be almost non existant

Alright, alright. Yet another post how the servers are trash, doesn't work. Ping going to 999+ rubber banding etc.

The ironic part here is that they do a promotion which btw they have no problem promoting during the 4th of July meanwhile the games community keeps crying for help.
This promotion seems like something they'd do try to lure players back who have bought the game. Which on paper is a great idea, more players, more money and more chances to have adventures with these players but the way these servers are right now? nu-uh.

The moment anyone who got the notification from Steam about the event or possibly emails if Zenimax sent any. Will log back in after a while, see that they can barely stay logged on. They will forever uninstall the game and never look at it again.

Worse part for players that are fairly new, I for example are getting bad image of the company that they aren't even addressing the issue. Just sucks... I want to play so bad but I cannot really. :/

i was thinking the same thing you were...

i seldom experience really bad lag without there being an issue with my own internet connection speeds...lately though my connection speeds have been unrelated to the server issues they are having...

i imagine there's a serious poop storm going on in the zos office to get the lag under control as quickly as possible...

I made a post last week that highlighted several issues with Morrowind, one of them being the lag. So many people yelled that I was wrong and that their connection was fine. Now, I look on the forums today and everyone is complaining about their connections, lol.

The servers had something different going on this last few days. Granted, some experience lag during other times but it's been wide spread for the last few days.

I've been experiencing this same type of lag for past 9 days now. I've heard a couple people mention it before hand, right after Morrowind release but guess it was the oddity minority for some reason. Now, so many is getting affected that it is unbelievable that they are ignoring us in a way that they wont let us know they are aware at least, better would to hear they are working their best to fix but just hearing they know about it would be a great start to believe this can pass and game will be playable once more.

Server stability/connection issues have been an issue for quite a while. It's only gotten worse. You would think all those times they've had to reboot the servers over the last few months would've prompted them to look into it.

Frankly, the server became very unstable before Morrowind, right at the launch of Homestead. The increased number of housing instances being juggled by the servers is definitely contributing to the instability. As more houses are added and purchased, this issue will worsen.

The launch of Morrowind merely compounded the issue by introducing a new, large map and the influx of more player logins. As people begin to quit the game after finishing the rather short amount of content, the server stability will improve marginally (but not enough). However, the housing issue is the 300-lb purple elephant in the room that needs to be addressed.

    My connection is still fine.

If you read between the lines of BS in all the lag posts and look at the actual data, much is pointing to network issues in between the customer and the data center and not ZOS issues directly.

That's not to say ZOS shouldn't do anything about it, but I've seen a lot of unwarranted rage going towards the wrong people in this case.

I can boot up other games, such as Overwatch and I have no connection issues. I can voice over Skype and Discord, still can do. I can play online games on my Xbox, no connection issues even if playing outside my local servers. I can download games from Steam with 11mbs speed.

I have tested my internet enough in the past 9 days to be safe to say, aint my end it is the game this time.

Asinine arguments like "my connection is fine, so you must be wrong" aren't helpful. There IS a problem and ZoS will be held accountable for it. Their product is defective and as a customer, these players have every right to demand a solution to this issue. ZoS refuses to comment on ANY issues with their game, pretending that nothing is wrong.

I'm not saying it's on your end. Do you have any idea how many possible different entities can route your data back and forth between your home network and the datacenter?

Other ISPs own the hardware in between you and any given external resource.

Basically, if I on the west coast am trying to connect to something on the east coast, my data can pass through switches owned by ***, Comcast, Level 3, and many more on the way to the service I am trying to connect to. Any one of these having an issue can cause problems if the routing doesn't get an alternate path.

I wasn't saying you are wrong.

See my explanation above. By all means rage away, but be informed about it.

Except ESO is the only game with this problem as reported by many people, so that would indicate that it is their issue. I can play SWTOR and LOTRO without a problem, high speedtest ratings, etc, but ESO is a laggy mess for me.

I will say, though, that over the last two days (which is when this started for me) I noticed a LOT more people in the starting areas.

You're misunderstanding the problem. Your SWTOR and LOTRO servers are not located in the same place as the ESO servers. The issue is a node in Texas - a node which you wouldn't route through to connect to LOTRO or SWTOR.
