If I activate the free trial during this dwarven crate event, and purchase ESO PLUS at the end of the free trial, do I also receive the crates on the 17th? I don't get paid until next week :C

I think You can get free crates only if You had ESO+ paid during event.

    Yes you will. Read here.

"If you are not an ESO Plus member, you can enjoy a free trial of the service for the duration of the event to see what it is all about. For more details, see below. If you decide to purchase a full ESO Plus membership, you still earn free Crown Crates for each day you are logged in as a member!"

I would interpret that as meaning you get a free crate for each day you log in as a paid member. So if you get the free trial on the 5th and then buy a membership you will receive free crates on the 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th.

But if you buy a membership after the promotion is over you wouldn't get free crates. Just like with any other promotion - once it's gone it's gone.

It doesn't say ESO+ subscriber though. Everyone is a member though. And there's an 8 day period after the event is over before they give out the crates.

I interpreted that to mean if you do the trial and log in for the 5 days and then buy ESO+ you still get the crates on the 17th.

In order to qualify for the free daily Crown Crates, you must be an active ESO Plus member during the duration of the event (July 5 - 9) and log in each day. The daily Crown Crate rewards associated with the ESO Plus Bonus Event are intended to be a bonus for those with an active ESO Plus membership.

For those of you who are currently encountering issues with ESO Plus on Xbox One, we will ensure that you are taken care of and get the Crown Crates you should.

WRONG, it actually does say it quite clearly here:

If you are not an ESO Plus member, you can enjoy a free trial of the service for the duration of the event to see what it is all about. For more details, see below. If you decide to purchase a full ESO Plus membership, you still earn free Crown Crates for each day you are logged in as a member!

Which is the fifth bullet point as listed on the original announcement located HERE.

Also stated in the second bullet point:

If you have an active ESO Plus membership, you can earn one free Crown Crate for each day you log in during the event period, up to a maximum of five crates.

So, it doesn't matter how you interpret it, it was clearly stated you MUST pay to subscribe to get the bonus crates.
