Selene's web

I cannot for the life of me do the Selene's web Mages guild quest.

I Am level 47 and I don't have a problem in any other area of the game, it feels like the Bosmer are insanely OP they are literally killing me in 2-3 hits I can't remember exactly how much health I have but it's around 40k I think, (I will edit stats in once on computer), I have tried this dungeon countless times but I don't know what it is or what I'm missing, I tried queing in the dungeon finder yesterday but waited 2-1/2 hours and still didn't get a single person.

I just don't know how to complete this quest I cannot understand why I can't get past the Bosmer before I even get to the spider, it's unreal, I think a long time ago I may have played it with some vets so could it have got stuck level wise or something, but it's quite literally impossible for me to do this solo at the minute

Yeah that's it, I know it's a group dungeon but assumed it would be possible solo as it's apart of the Mages guild questline, and I've spent so much time queing for the dungeon and never seem to get filled.

It's not part of the mage's guild quest line.

It has been a couple of years since i did the mage's guild quest line, but i do not remember being sent to a group dungeon as a part of the quest chain. AFAIK it was all solo stuff (mostly Sheogorath shenanigans).

Are you sure it is the mage's guild questline that sends you there, and not some other unrelated quest?

As a side note, your best chance to get into Selene's Web is to wait until it comes up as a daily pledge for the undaunted guild, then there will be tons of players queueing for it. The dungeon certainly isn't meant to be soloable.

Ahhhhhhh thanks, I think I've completed the Mages guild then lol I was just trying to see what I haven't done as I need the final quest in coldharbour to be given but can't find it yet, I've already done the quests in cdharbour and broken the great shackle/ killed vamps in orchard and such just need to fight molag now.

If the ayleid king is dead, you have done all there is to do in coldharbor. Just go back to the harborage and take the last main quest(to kill big M)from the prophet.

If the ayleid king is dead, you have done all there is to do in coldharbor. Just go back to the harborage and take the last main quest(to kill big M)from the prophet.

Hmm I have done every quest in cold harbour I believe as I have opened all the areas, cleared the vortex and planemeld and can't find any other quests the only thing I haven't done is kill the world boss In there.

I've been to the harbour age and Mages guild and don't get any prompts I guess I must have missed something but I can't be sure.

Assuming you completed the coldharbor chain to the end (ayleid king died in the church in hollow city): you have to be contacted by the prophet (his projection) to receive the last quest of the main questline. It happens the same way you used to receive all the other main questline quests(like "daughter of giants" etc.). For example, i always went to the south daggerfall entrance, near the stables, that's one of the spots he appears to me.

Thanks for the help shareee I found out that after the harvest heart quest the arrows didn't show me where to go so I had missed a couple missions, as it didn't come up in my screen so I checked forum and realised that I had to go and find the ayleid king to continue.

I can confirm it's not part of Mages Guild quest line. Did that on 4 characters and never did it ask me to go to Slene's Web or near that dungeon. Mages Guild and Fighters Guild quests generally take place in separate instances.

However you can gather 3 other people to finish Selene's Web. As soon as you hit vet ranks go to the dungeon right next to it
