ESO Plus Trial - REAL REASONING

Zos is good at marketing. We all wish the dev team was half as bright as the marketing team, would have us a half decent game here. All jokes aside, this is a brilliant move. The amount of noobs that do not know about the sheer value of the almighty CRAFTING BAG and DOUBLE BANK SPACE are going to get a small taste and get hooked. This move is like giving a khajiit a few shots of skooma, then putting a vending machine full of skooma in their bedroom.

Congratulations, you've uncovered the conspiracy! Those devils from marketing must be laughing evilly and rubbing their hands in greedy anticipation right about now.

The real reasoning is that all our crafting mats will be transferred to that bag, we'll use bank space - double! - for something else and then when the trial ends - will have nowhere to put new crafting mats.

That's a bold move. Players either will be forced to sub to deal with this, or will get too disgusted by such an obvious thing and leave.

It's not rocket science, it's marketing 101. Anyone that couldn't figure this out should get out more.

How can it be? I thought their marketing department would be focusing on ensuring they lose as much money as possible while they give as much free stuff away out of the goodness of their hearts.

How dare they try to make money out of this game! Oh the nerve!!!

It's pretty scummy way to force people to sub.

Main bank being doubled should have been in the base game...

Then ESO+ should have double that again, same for housing slots :)

I think the option they are providing for non subbers to try + and see if they think the benefits are worth it or not is a good idea. What I really like is the acknowledgement of those of us who already sub by kicking in some crates. As an existing subscriber, that token of appreciation enhances my loyalty. Well done, I say.

At the end of April they had a free weekend to try ESO, so I did as I LOVE FALLOUT series and SKYRIM. So I tried it, and had it purchased before the trial was over.

Nope. Id rather spend real money on something I want, not gamble for it. I opened my Morrowind crate, and it was all crap (all potions, a couple xp potions, and some stupid dwarven eyebrow shields.

Can we opt out of the free trial?

@brandonv516 Yes you can. It will actually be a free item in the crown store you "buy" to get the trial. So don't buy the free item in the crown store, and no trial for you.

This is why you dont aim for any of the Apex rewards. If youre going to jump into the crates and you want something. You do your math and figure out how much its going to take to get you what you want.

I agree it'll give players a taste of the storage perks added recently and last year really great idea as some may like it and decide they want to keep it.

As for players being forced to sub afted this or if they don't want to sub they would choose to leave the game with n disgust is kinda heavy. Zos is pushing harder to let players know about this trial. Granted some will still not understand what is happening but I think most will be able to figure out how to manage their inventory when the trial ends.

Why do people always have to moan???

I sub, I'm online everyday so I'll get my crates!

The free trial of ESO+ as several people have said is really clever marketing......

Taste those extra bank spaces and feel the joy of the crafting bag......

    What's not to like??

Oh and for people who haven't brought the DLC separately......

5 days to play so much extra content

You have to admit as far as marketing goes it's brilliant!! >:)
    When people say to me........
"You're going to regret that in the morning"
I sleep until midday cos I'm a problem solver!

The real reason is so that once all the unsuspecting new players have a portion of their stuff in the crafting bag, extended bank space, extended furnishing space, and the bug that prevents them from ever accessing it again crops up, they will rage quit, thus finally improving lag. So its all about improving lag in Cyrodiil. I'm certain of it.

The craft bag and bank space are indeed like skooma. I can't give them up.
Some people list all their characters here.
I have a lot of them.
