What are you looking for? Your question is relative to each person. I could afford the game without thinking twice about whether I'll be hungry or I'll be playing a game. I love this game and I think morrowind is worth it. Haven't tried battlegrounds or crafted the new sets, but just the area to explore and quest is really nice.

    - for PvE : its new, but after 2 days searching for impossible treasure chest you're quit done with that
    - for BG : absolutly not, its buggy and filled with elite players who do nothing else all day, meaning the chance to actually win is very low
    - for craftable sets : no not really - join a guild with attunable craftstation in these sets and you'll have them anyway
    - for Trial : yes its fun but very difficult imho. after doing that a few times you can become bored with it easy, unless you have an awesome raid guild ofcourse who make every go a little party.
    - for new class: mwah, its very average in all aspects

overall, i regret buying Morrowind big time, especially the special edition.
if you insist on wanting to buy it I'd recommend to wait a few more weeks, the prices are already nosediving in US I've heard. There you apparently can get it somewhere for $10.

Depends for what. It is a single zone about the size or Orsinium(bigger per se, but a lot of it is blocked by volcano and the quest number overall is roughly equal I think) with great graphics(dem high res textures! <3), (imo) really well written quests with great voice acting, some really cool quests rewards(2 sets of tattoos, a couple mementos, a personality, Morrowind model furnishing, ball of yarn furnishing), a costume and a pet to farm in publics(or buy off other players), a few cool sets(which you can also buy off other players for the most parts), 4 new motifs(which you can again buy off other players), and lots of exploration to be done. I enjoyed the stories, and the music is really great too. If that's your kind of thing and 40$(or whatever it costs now) aren't exactly gonna deplete your budget, sure it's worth it.

If you're looking for bug-free competitive BGs? I'd recommend against that.

If you're expecting a godmode OP Warden? I'd also recommend against that.

If you're into hardcore PvE and want that Trial? Might be worth it - just for the Trial.

    Don't buy it now.

In the near future, BG's could be better, Warden could be perfectly balanced among the other classes, and if it truly is a new chapter, new content could be added to it.
And the best of all, it could be cheaper and/or on sale.

Here's my 2 cents of advice: Don't buy broken armor with prosperous for a million gold, when you can have the same armor, undamaged with Divines for 100.000k, if only you'd wait a bit longer for it. You should do the same for Morrowind.

    Patience, my friend.

No, not for $40. Despite the hype and ZOS's attempt to portray it otherwise, it's just a DLC. It's worth about $20, I'd say. But for $40, it should almost be its own stand-alone game--and it's not even close. It's comparable in content to Orsinium.

If I could do it over, I would wait until the price dropped to something reasonable.

    I bought it.

It looked and felt better for about two days.

I'm reinstalling it now to see how that will improve something that I know is not a problem at my end.

I'm almost fairly confident that the biggest improvement will be in my negative attitude. i.e. my negativity will increase.

Worth buying, yes. Worth buying for $40, no.

Morrowind is roughly comparable in size with Worthgar/Orsinum, which is a DLC, and despite ZOS' semantics, so should Morrowind.

If you're into PvE, maybe. BGs don't work. Also, be aware of the fact that ZOS put 10x as much money into marketing and hyping it up than into actual development. All the trailers, advertisements and descriptions look amazing, but you'll be very disappointed once you've dropped 40$ on it. It's a DLC-size expansion that is bugged to the point it's unplayable.

On the other hand, you can always get a refund. I did. With the state Battlegrounds (as a major part of the expansion) are in for over 6 weeks since launch, you can just write "Refund cuz Battlegrounds" and you'll get it instantly.

PVE is OK but not hyped. BG is not OK. Expansion price is expensive for what it is at the moment (I think)

I think Morrowind is a must-buy for people who enjoy ESO PVE and Homestead.

Study Battlegrounds carefully before buying Morrowind for it. I enjoy ESO AvA and PVP games in general, but Battlegrounds is completely uninteresting to me on all levels. It feels like 90s game design, except with less substance than games from then. On top of that, it's poorly implemented and buggy.

I don't think Morrowind offers anything for people who only enjoy AvA. Save your money if this is you.

I honestly don't think it is worth more than 20€. So I'd suggest waiting. Unless you really want to be a Warden there is no reason to buy it until it drops in price.

If you want a bit more to explore yes but it should have been a regular DLC. I finished all the quests over a weekend. It doesn't seem very much more than Orsinium, so i wouldn't say it's worth the price tag. Should have been included in ESO Plus.

I haven't tried battlegrounds, but I'm not much inte PvP really.

The trial I haven't tried either, but will probably do it at some point only for the achievements.

Besides from that, there's a few new daily quests, once you've done all.

    TL:DR
Not worth the money, should have been a DLC, but there's no option so if you want a bit more content. Go for it.

It's definitely enjoyable... unfortunately it got associated with all the negative feelings on the base game update. Price wise $30 is fair what is being offered. I has a lot more content that hardly ever gets mentioned. There's really nifty titles added, new clothes, pet, housing stuff, houses, along with amazing quests, progressive battlegrounds (more to come in the future), warden class (a lot of fun to play), new trial ( end game content) . Also note some future updated will require this expansion , so yes I would buy it especially while it's on sale.

For $30 (even 20), one could buy another high-quality game. You say it'll get better in the future. Well then, why not wait
until then? I want to make sure that my money is spent well. Plus, the price can only drop. So when Morrowind finally gives us enough to call itself a Chapter / Expansion, it'll also have a reasonable price tag.

Nahh, it's not about the money, even though I see the cost of it went down a bit. I've spend plenty of dough on ESO, from ESO plus, DLCs to crown store stuff, galore. Matter of fact, if I like game, I would support the company and purchase whatever comes with it. However, I'm still pissed off about all the nerfing and removal of Warlord/Magician leading up to Morrowind release. Yeah, and all the stupid lagging, crashing and bugs aren't helping much either. So, yeah, for me, I still refuse to purchase Morrowind because of what I have mentioned. Still, I am glad to hear some are enjoying Morrowind. Other than the fiasco that still need attentions to be fixed, I still enjoy ESO for the most part, but I feel like I've been running on fume playing ESO. Seems more new bugs are being popping up while other bugs occurring since release are still not rectified.

PVE is good, BG's kinda work (on Pc) haven't done the trial yet but haven't seen too many complaints.. warden is difficult to play at times (mines dps), but get it right it's alot of fun, new motifs, shacklebreaker is a good craftable set... would've been nice to have a dungeon included though..

Personally I don't get all the negatives that we see here, could've been bigger maybe but for 20 something £ I have no major complaints... remember, for every cheap-asss whining millennial cry-baby on the forums, there are many thousands in game enjoying it for what it is...

You didn't play AC: Unity at launch, did you? Even The Witcher 3 had issues with quests not granting xp at some point. But I agree that your list of games is closer to perfect than ESO: Morrowind, which I only bought due to the incredibly cheap physical collectors edition.

I play on PS4. While getting into Battlegrounds is a mess during more peak hours (not nearly as difficult early in the morning when I most often play), I've had no real issues elsewhere as far as bugs. I've enjoyed working with the warden class and found myself a nice setup that holds up fairly well in both PVE and PvP situations, and the PVE content on Morrowind is a lovely change of pace and rather fun. So, sure I suggest it.

I would love to buy morrowind but after seeing how many bugs there are on the game since the dlc released is it worth it? This your opinion and i wanna hear it, it can be positive and negative

Since there was a base game update in addition to the Chapter, the only bugs you can avoid by not buying it are the ones related to Battlegrounds, Warden, and the various things local to Vvardenfell. Of those, Battleground queue is really the only place that has bugs that I consider to be severe.

Vvardenfell is a large new zone, and there is a lot more there for people who like to explore than for the people who are just there for the directed activities. A person can easily spend a couple dozen hours exploring the island, if into that sort of thing. There are some exploration achievements and quests that, if done without referencing the internet, can take quite some time to complete.

Quest writing is good. Main quest is good. None of the quests are particularly long, and can be completed quickly or slowly, at the discretion of the player. If the player is the type who gobbles up quest, they will still be hungry when they get done, but if the player is the type that does not rush, the experience will be much more satisfying.

Warden is average, which is pretty much what it should be. There is no compelling reason to have one, especially for new players. Existing players are more likely to appreciate how the class is different from the others. The class is a jack of all trades. That said, I think the class is good for solo play, a single player just out playing the game, just because there is a good mix of damage and healing.

I am not into competitive play, so I don't rate how effective the Warden is in those situations. I also do not care about Battlegrounds or the Trial.

The dungeons and delves on Vvardenfell are great. They are big and interesting, and the new delves are not laid out anything like those old base game delves that consisted of a loop and a locked door. The first time I was in Forgotten Wastes, I got lost. Visually, these places are very nice. The main problem I have with these new places is that they have often have dangly things hanging from the ceiling, which can make it impossible to see targets while in combat because the camera is behind them.

Morrowind has a new character tutorial that is much shorter and streamlined. A lot of players skip that tutorial, once they have done it, but I always do it to get gear and build preferred skills before joining the rest of the world. Wailing Prison is much better for that.

Yes, overall, I think that Morrowind is worth buying, but with a little asterisk and note. The regular price for Morrowind upgrade is US$39.99, and that is too expensive. They took advantage of pre-order customers by overcharging them, in my opinion. Pay no more than US$29.99 for the upgrade.
