Intro
@ZOS@other forum users this is my opinion. No opinion is wrong. No opinion is right. Perspective and interests define that (but them again.... internet).
I won't be buying Morrowind.
Imperial City had more PvP. It was very fun the first days with tel var farming and fighting. It also had two beautiful dungeons. There was also a big variety of gear sets (jewellery, armors, weapons) and some of them were rly useful.
Orsinium had maelstrom arena and I had to get it. Most builds need the top weapons. In addition there were nice group activities on the open world.
Thieves guild hit on nostalgia. It also brough a new Trial and new activities. Nice story too.
Dark Brotherhood. I was expecting it because it looked cool (ESO was my first TES game). I believed that there would be a cool complex story but instead I was met by two religious cults, one of which were inhumane and ruthless without anything Good, just, meaningful about them. No trials, no dungeons. Just murder and instanced murder. I didn't care for it.
Black Marsh. If it wasn't an instant regret, it was very close to it. Why the hell did I buy this DLC? Anyway, cleared the dungeons. No need for their gear. Never going there again.
I did enjoyed all the Quests of the game, except Dark Brotherhood. Just evil.
I won't be buying Morrowind. Battlegrounds seem to be in a very bad state. There is nothing else that I NEED from the chapter.
DLCs and Chapters must have something that people NEED in order to sell to all players.
I'll say one thing about Morrowind which I think was GREAT. You added a new class and you locked it in Morrowind.
You need to do that again. And again. Keep the players bussy. So here my suggestion about:
NEW CLASSES
Prior to returning to ESO last month because of my inrl friends starting here (I left ESO 1 year ago because PvP requires no skill, just number crunching and the will to NOT PLAY AS YOU LIKE) I played Skyrim. Because I played Skyrim I understood the love people have for content which is related to previous TES stories, cults and companies. I read in one of the posts these days about vampires and Dawnguard being used in ESO.
NEW CLASS, NEW CHAPTER OR DLC
The story. You join the Dawnguard. You go up against vampires and the companions (werewolves weren't they?) Chapter? DLC? Dungeons? Map? Main Story Quests? New gear? Use whatever you want, the concept I suggest is the Dawnguard vs the supernatural.
What people will WANT AND HAVE TO BUY THE CHAPTER FOR
A new class. And I want to introduce a new concept here to you ZOS
A MOSTLY stamina Warrior Class
Nightblade is too roqueish for me, Templar is too Paladinish, Sorc is a mage and doesn't rly use muscle. Dragonknight is cool, but has 0 stamina utilities on his Class skills.
First skill Tree
Ranger themed: Bow passives and maybe a evastion/attack active skill and One-Handed Weapon Only damaging skills and passives. (UNIQUE FEATURE)
Second skill line:
Brute themed: Two-Handed passives and defensive abilities + One-Handed/Shield passives and defensive abilities.
Third skill line
Warlord themed: Dual Wield weapon passives and CC/utility abilities. No damaging skills.
This class will have NO ULTIMATE SKILLS. (UNIQUE FEATURE)
It is obvious that this class will focus on Stamina and Stamina weapons skills, passives, resources EVERYTHING. Just even further.
If possible I'd like to introduce to the game Classes that truly and mostly rely on either stamina or magika. Let's start with Stamina. It might lead to a good path which will achieve balancing.
Now as a Dawnguard you are send from the Order to fight vampires and werewolves. What if at the end you had an option to turn against the Dawnguard and become a vampire or a werewolf? Plot Twist!!!!!!
The next Chapter/DLC can be about necros and what they are related to. I've only played ESO and Skyrim so I won't offer a scenario. People like necros. I hate them, but I like it when they are in the game.
This is firstly what I want to see from ZOS, this is what I want to buy. There are personal agendas in there I won't lie, but this is something that I would pay money for. Morrowing just didn't happen to do it for me.
This is a very rough idea of how I think the chapters should go down. They might seem extreme but I cannot come up with solid concepts since I am not being paid by ZOS. I am being paid by another employer to goof around and spend time at the ESO forum, instead of doing my actual job from what it seems.
I also would like to apologize for being arrogant to ask you to sell us this concept. I haven't studied anything in relation to creating video games, yet here I am pushing my agenda with little regard to what the creators of the game ,who spend years to learn how to create games, might actually have in their heart and want to share with us through ESO.
If you can make ESO a better game because of these suggestions it would be great. Use it and sell more subscriptions and copies of the game.
The secret is to LOCK SOMETHING THAT PEOPLE WILL WANT inside a CHAPTER/DLC.
Keep it up
