Bone Wall/Spinal Surge synery. Please Fix

I have been playing a shield spamming tank for well over a year now(long before it was meta) and this is a pet peeve of mine. The Bone Wall/Spinal Surge synergy is incredibly difficult to activate. You have to be right on top of the caster and the time window for it is MUCH smaller than other synergies, because of this, this skill is under utilized. Its easy for me to hit shards, orbs, impale, or ANY other synergy out there except for this one. Its true I can hit it sometimes, but its very rare. I suggest expanding the radius from which it can be activated and lengthening the time window for activation. Please ZoS, make it as easy as shards to use. I understand shards is stationary and bone wall is not, but at least expand the radius.
