Should Old Crown Crate Items be Sold in the Crown Store?

Each old crown crate season cycles through the crown store, letting new players purchase items they would have otherwise missed, would get players who dislike crate RNG to purchase items at a later date, and would still allow players who want the newest thing to have access to it far in advance from players who don't purchase crown crates. This could exclude Apex Rewards, giving players more incentive to buy the crates if they want the mounts from them.

I don't see that happening because, then, no one would buy the crown crates. They would just wait for the items to come to the crown store. ZOS wants you to buy the crates.

That would be a bad business decision. People would stop buying the crates, and just wait and buy what they specifically want when it goes to the store.

Based on the posts the first days of the Dwarven crate season, people are blowing far more crowns on crates to gamble for goods than they would spend just to buy the items. Many people bought several 5000 crown packs. This is exactly what Zeni wants to happen. They'd be dumb to go in the direction you suggest instead.

I'm not a fan of the crates, but it's clearly working out exactly as they hoped it would from a business perspective.

I'll just cling to my ESO+ crowns until something I want to buy becomes available, as I refuse to gamble. ESO already has enough RNG (and it does not feel all that random).

this. Sell stuff directly, normal mounts for 2.5k crowns, these sparkly shint twinkling crapex ones for 4k, you would sell a ton of all. Not to mention costumes, pets and other stuff.

That's not how whale mentality works. They need the shiny NOW.

It makes a lot of business sense to sell Apex mounts at the very least one year after their Crown season. Even if they continue Crown Crates next year, we're going to see mounts from previous Crates going up on the Store, probably as limited time sales, about one year after each of their respective Crates launched. Most Crown Crate purchasers won't want to wait an entire year to get their hands on the new season of mounts that ZOS keeps waving in their face every time they log in to the game.

I misclicked. I wanted to vote for the Just seoo them in the store to begin with.

There are few items in them I really want but that I decided to pass on just because they are in the crates. For example the Scar mount (the black maned brown skined senche lion) from storm crates, and the Mane of Many Rivers hair style.

Both of which I'd totaly buy if they where sold for a reasonabe crown price

I'd buy chub loon from the first season now in a heartbeat if they put him in the store. Probably a bunch of other stuff too. But my wallet stays closed for the crown crates.
