Ya'll need some large doses of TTC and MM medicine.
Here... Let me bring you to the doctor's office. Click! (Search for Tamriel Trade Centre & Master Merchant)
Don't forget to regularly check with the nurse. Click! (Download minion to always have your addons easily up to date)
And if you need any extra information, make sure to check with the receptionist! Click! (TTC search engine)
(In all seriousness: this is really all you need! TTC acts as a sort of unified system and you can look up items over there and corresponding traders as you would in any other MMO).
I've grown to love the Guild Trading system. I may be an officer of a trading guild but I seriously love it. Not to mention that a good trading guild makes great friends as you gotta stick together.
That being said, this should be (imo) a part of the base game. Because console players. Also, traders need some serious UI overhaul. We got addons to fix it on PC but console players are screwed...

It's saved me hundreds of hours that I would have spent searching for items across the continent (I don't know about everyone else, but I'd rather spend most of my time playing the game). It's not perfect, but it's the best we can have considering the limitations of the API.
Just make sure you are always sorting by "last seen" instead of price. I see people rage when they get to a store and the sharpened Necropotence staff that was listed for 5k two days ago is gone (well no *** it won't be there anymore after 2 days). The site stores historic data to use as a price reference. Any popular item that was last seen more than an hour ago is almost always already sold, so keep that in mind.
If you can't find something on TTC, it means no one is listing it. There is nothing TTC can do to help you with that. There is a guild of volunteers that scans all traders in the game at least once a day so no trader is overlooked.

TTC is still not a capable AH though, people abuse it just like MM

Guild store system has actually become fun now
Instead of paying 10x times the money for the fatcats in Capital Cities Guild Vendors (Mournhold, Grahtwood etc) I am getting superb items for a fraction of the price.
I used to spend around 10k-14k in getting a full blue set (Julianos, Hundings, TBS etc) while leveling and yesterday I got a full set (epics included..lol...both individual and set pieces) for everything for measly 3k from remote vendors
Thanks @DoShazarr for the excellent suggestionYa'll need some large doses of TTC and MM medicine.

There is nothing to abuse.
You use it to find items and compare list prices.
Like I said, it's the best solution we'll ever have in this game due to the API limitations. I see no reason not to use it.
There is nothing to abuse with MM either. These tools provide information. Nothing else.
