Quest xp question

Running delves at cp 330 with a friend cp110. After completing delves and going to towns to turn in the little quest.
I was getting 6.5k xp. Buddy was getting 18.k xp.. Both have eso plus.
Only difference is he had on training gear. No xp scrolls or pots.
Was he just messing with me or fudvhis training gear apply xp? Or possibly enlightened?

✭✭✭✭✭Enlightenment give an 4x to all xp including quests.
You get more xp as you are level caped so you get more xp.
You get enlightenment yourself but has probably used it up, you get 400K each day and as you get more xp for quests and kills while xp to next cp level is higher it last much longer at low levels.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.1
