Yea, those are the "master" builds or BiS. But before I get there, I wanted something it it's place.

what types of weapons do you plan on using? what will fill your spare slot/s?
julianus gives the benefit of allowing you to craft the items and buffing all spell damage (which may or may not be relevant depending of what skills & staves you use)
sun will only buff flame skills (which may or may not be beneficial depending of what skills & staves you use)
I don't enjoy trials at all so i discount trial sets, as i'm unwilling to farm them.
I instead jun illanbris with
5 Julianos and 4 Spellweave on flame staff
5 Julianos and 5 Spellweave on Dual weild
Silks is easier to get than Spellweave (particularly in shadpened sword). But as i only have the 5 piece bonus 50% of the time, Spellweave is a better 4 piece bonus and the 5 piece proc can carry over on a bar swap. Therefor single targe dots ans spam are on the dual weild and aoe and buffs are staff.
With this set up i will still argue that Spellweave is better than silks even after the morrowind changes to its set bonus. I'll trade the lower health for the spellweave crit that stacks with julianos.

True, I feel like a noob.
PvE, flame staves. Right now I run 5 Julianos, 5 Burning Spellweave, and a staff on each bar. I do have Valkym monster set, but feel that it doesn't proc enough to be worth losing the 299 spell damage. Magicka falls around 44k, spell power is at 2,200 crit is at 47ish. I melt stuff ok, just want to know how to optimize dps when I feel like dpsing (as I normally main tank, and switch my CP and gear when I'm bored so I can dps, or heal, or tank).
Thats by design. If not you don't get the 5 set julianos and the 4-5 BSW. If you run all julianos wepons you'll drop the julianos 5 piece on staff. And screw the health. Its a glass build, health drops dps and you'll be better trained for if/when you get the BIS.
Illambris is also higher dps on boss fights, especialy if your enchant procs the lightning aoe

Thats why you craft on julianos sword and one julianos staff, and fill the 2nd sword slot with whatever BSW sword you can farm...sharpened or not. I myself never had any luck finding ANY BSW sword though, much less sharpened, its the most tedious part...easier to find a sun sword since you can buy them or just farm chests in stonefalls all day long. Losing the 5 piece julianos bonus isnt that big a deal though if your uptime on BSW is enough to make up for it...at least until you can find a BSW sword.
Taking all that into account, until you get a BSW sword, I believe Silks of the Sun is the better option.
