Just curious: how long do maintenance's usually take?

I tried to do a quick search, but couldn't find anything... :( I just started playing and was looking forward to some playtime before bed - and the maintenance snuck up on me, so I was just curious...

Thanks.

My experience has been 2 to 6 hours, usually about 4.

Usually between 3-12 hours - sorry I know that's not much help.

This is the regular time for weekly maintenance though, so you'll know for next week (there's a banner at the top of the forums that will announce it over the weekend).

It looks like it's been 3 so far... Dang. Oh well, I'll go play some wildlands for an hour. Thanks for the quick answer! :)

Well, 6 to 8 hours assuming that ZOS haven't made a mess of anything.

However I've known it to be longer than 12 hours before now.

It will be a downtime on Wednesday (28th) according to banner here on forum, where maintenance will be done to account servers (no update on client side - if nothing unexpected will be happening today on client side [means that you will have to download a patch to your client] which will force an extra update patch to roll out. During that time you can not log in to game.

Regular scheduled maintenance is mostly on Monday (game client and server are both getting a new version number/patch) and then Tuesday (account servers) or as now Wednesday. Two time in a week you will have to expect that you can not access game.

There is a section on ESO Forum about what changes that have been made in Patch Notes (published by GM) and more informally you will find threads also named "Natch Potes" which can be useful to read, so you know what bug fixes have been done or other things that might impact on your way to play or character. Don't forget to check in Crown Store, if there is some new items that you might want to buy before they change what is store or price of those items that is being offered before next update.

Store maintenance doesn't require server downtime - just that the store will be unavailable during that time.
