BUG - Guild Trader - None Hired

It seems on PS4 EU server guilds make dummy accounts to hire traders and then disband the guilds so the message of the day guild trader notice bugs out and says none for ALL guilds, despite already having hired one.

This is becoming annoying and repetitive and zenimax should be patching this exploit and banning any players who use it.
People also leave guilds because they believe their guild they're in doesn't have a trader for yet another week when infact they do.

The none hired message has been on xbox as well. I don't if it comes with the same set of circumstances but every week for about a month and a half now.

This is happening on PC NA this week. All of my guilds are showing no trader even though several have them. They were originally showing them properly Sunday immediately after the bids went through, but some started showing none hired by the end of the evening. Today, they are all showing as none hired.

I can confirm (PC - NA)
    • I am in four Trading guilds, at least of two have traders
    • All my guilds show as Non Hired (!!!)

More problematic is if this is affecting add-ons like Tamriel Trade Centre that help get my sales known.

As noted in my signature at the end of this message, I play ESO on the PC, NA megaserver.

    (1) In my observation, the Guild UI and Guild Store UI were functioning as expected on Sunday (Sept. 17) and early Monday (Sept. 18) until the deadline for submitting Guild Trader bids passed. Some time afterward, I noticed that the Guild Store UI was reporting that no Guild Trader was hired by any of the 5 guilds.

Although I have not seen that before, I assumed that it meant that the process of determining which guilds bid successfully for Guild Trader was underway, and that the Guild Traders for the respective guilds which succeeded would soon be reported. When I logged-on for Monday evening, that had not changed.

    (2) I belong to 5 guilds, 3 of which focus on selling as many items as possible as quickly as possible (i.e., they are so-called "trading guilds") and the other 2 ordinarily have a Guild Trader as well.

    (3) According to the game client Guild UI and to the game client Guild Store UI, respectively, none of the 5 has hired a Guild Trader this week. Although it is not unusual for one of the 5 to not have a Guild Trader for any given week, I have never seen any more than one of them, let alone all 5, fail to obtain or to retain a Guild Trader.

    (4) I have not installed or updated any add-on which would have any effect upon the Guild UI, the Guild Store UI, and/or the Character Inventory UI on either of those two days.

    (5) So far, I have received one notification, from the Black Dragon Apothecary Guildmaster, that the guild does have a Trader and that "the UI is bugged". Which is to say, regardless of what is "bugged", the Guild UI and the Guild Store UI are not reporting correct information.

    (6) Unfortunately, the Guildmaster did not name the trader or the trader's location, but I assume that it is Ronuril in Rawlk'ha (Reaper's March). FWIW, I have confirmed that Angry Unicorn Traders has the trader Ronuril in Rawlk'ha (Reaper's March). Else, I have not located a Guild Trader in the game for any of the other 4 guilds.

So all of this leaves me wondering just what is wrong with the ESO game software (client and/or host) and database system this time.

UPDATE: will ZOS please acknowledge this problem in reply to this discussion?

Evidently, ZOS does not recognize the significance of this UI bug, since there has not been any acknowledgment of it.

When a Guild does not have a Guild Trader, then an experienced player offers an array of items for sale which significantly differs from the items which any intelligent player chooses to offer for sale in a Guild Store when the guild has a Guild Trader. This is especially important when the Guild Trader is in a preferred location.

Since the game software (Guild UI and Guild Store UI) currently does not inform a player correctly whether a Guild has a Guild Trader at all, it is not possible to decide whether to offer any items for sale which would ordinarily be offered when the Guild does have a Guild Trader, aside from the significance of the trader's location.

In sum, short, and fine, currently the game software does not enable an experienced player to make intelligent decisions as to which items to offer for sale in the respective Guild Stores for Guilds of which the player is a member.

Please give us all one good reason that we should continue playing a game that denies us essential information for making decisions. Furthermore, its developers evidently don't care one whit whether the game software does that, or whether it has any integrity at all. Kinda like the greedheads who run the New York Stock Exchange. All they ever care about is profit today, and evidently expect to profit regardless of the consequences of their decisions for the rest of us.
