And even then its random what you get. You will most likely have to beat the Vet Arena multiple times.

Maelstrom weapons drop in random form and trait in the last chest from veteran maelstrom arena in wrothgar (orsinium dlc).

It is one of the most difficult things to do in game and takes you between half an hour and two hours depending on your mastery of mechanics. Don't enter it before you have at least 300 CP and a good understanding of general game and mob mechanics. To get the right weapon in the right trait might take you hundreds of runs if you are unlucky.

Just finish Vet Maelstrom as a Mag Sorc and you'll have all the Mauls you could ever want :p

Casuals can still beat vet Maelstrom tho.... It just takes time, practice, and the right setup.

Just make sure you pick up the quest while jn veteran mode so your progress is saved. You can do a stage per session do that it doesn't tire you out

It's very easy to beat maelstrom since it's been out for over a year there are builds and set ups online that you can look up if you need help with it even as a casual player you can beat it with zero CP

What I would do tho is since there is a save mode in maelstrom pick the quest up at the beginning and do one stage a day that way you are not going feel overwhelmed since you would be new to it and that way you won't rage quit

In my experience, you have to not want it to get it, because if you want it, you can run the maelstrom daily for 2 years and not get it.

@teladoy i would pay too much attention to the warnings. Maelstorm is a great learning ground. Go in on Normal to learn your build. If you take the quest it saves your round, so you can do a bit here / there. It teaches you alot (and you can port right there so its fast, and its HUGE XP)

Vet is a real step up. Your build needs to be solid and you need to know the mechanics. I'm casual too and played a few rounds here and there in 30 mins slots. Completing it is a huge accomplishment huge. Feels awesome.

But to people.point, the drop is random at the end. So to get the Maul. In the trait you want (Sharp) you may need multiple trips.

That said i had nearly all the Sharpened Stamina weopons in my first ten clears. But I'm a MagSorc so they useless lol.

U had all sharp weapons in only 10 runs? Are you working for ZOS?

Hahaha too! That would be having, nearly, one sharpened maul, one sharpened greataxe, one sharpened greatsword, one sharpened mace, one sharpened axe, sharpened sword, one sharpened dagger and one sharpened bow in 10 runs?

So, in 10 runs, almost 8 sharpened weapons when sharpened drop chance is like 1%? Hahaha!

Let me know when you post your next joke Beardimus. You're a funny guy.
