Good Nightblade build for a Stamina user?

Nihilistic4
Hi there, I'm new to this forum but I've followed it for quite some time! I hope I can get some assistance with my enquiry and appreciate any help provided.

I currently have a CP150 Nightblade which I'm preparing for 160. I'm preferably a PVP player who admires the potential of the Nightblade but isn't sure on what build to have it. To be honest I've never really taken it into consideration until now regarding the armour sets and attribute distribution beneficial to the Nightblade. I've seen a lot online but never had the opportunity to get some advice from experienced players.

So my question: what is a good attribute distribution and armour/weapon set for me? I mostly use Stamina, only using Magicka to sneak. I've seen builds that are based around three-hit KOs via an ambush from sneak. Something like that would interest me but getting to that part is something I'm not sure about at the moment. If I could get some advice I'd really appreciate it!

    Clever Alchemist
    Sword Singers
    Nirnhoned Greatsword.
    Onslaught.
    All Divines (Shadow)

The joys of deleting people, this is one hit K-O.. or two hit with excutioner. Hits for 22 to 30K depending on how much inpen your target has.

I am actually using strenght of automation not sword singers because I actually want to use my back bar bow Snipe as well. But Sword singers hits harder.

The other option is dual wield/2h
    Selenes/Velidreth
    Viper
    Red Mountain
All Proc sets.. this is much stronger in non-CP campaigns and battlegrounds

    Pvp?

    2h/bow

    5x viper (5th piece 2h)
5x eternal hunt (5th piece bow)
    2x selene

All impen or 5x impen/ 2x well fitted.

    7x medium

    Dubious drink
    1x regen glyph.

It looks like a tie between Sword singers and viper. Are both two-handed exclusive? As in they won't run as well with dual wield? I should have mentioned I'm a dual wielder and bow user, although I am open to changing to two handed if it's more beneficial

Someone recommended the Spriggan Set, but it doesn't sound as lethal as Viper or Sword Singer for PVP

    Go dw/2h

    or 2h/bow

You need a 2h skill called rally for your only stam burst heal.

Viper is just better than sword singer.

Spriggans gives the best DPS (for a non slayer set) but its about burst in PVP.

2h is better than dual wield in PVP, It has much better burst and Rally is a powerful heal and brutality. The major advantage of dual wield is you can have 5-5-2 set up and stack more procs.

You can also do the trigger an ongoing effect and switch to front bar with something like clever alchemist (But you can't with the onslaught build because you need a Nirnhoned sword)

Sword singers Jewlery is really cheap because of A'lkir dolemn farmers, clever alchemist is crafted so getting the onslaught build to try it out to see if you like that play style is relativity cheap.

So would it be better to roll 2h/DW rotation for sword singers or viper instead of bow? To be honest I'm not sure how the onslaught build works, I'm not too familiar with those classes.

What about attribute distribution as well?

You can run DW/2h Clever alchemist + Viper + Selenes for a big WD buff from Alchemist and the proc damage from viper. That will require more actual brawling.

Okay so Onslaught is a 2h Ultimate that ignores armor and if you get a kill resets, this means you don't need sharpened or the penetration from spriggans you just need Weapon damage. So you have a build that stacks weapon damage and tries to one hit your target from stealth. Important to this is the use of Mage light to trigger the mages guild empower passive ( ambush gives the same one) that gives 20% more damage and the use of the cloak that will always give you a critical strike.

Rally, Focus, Potion (e.g speed, unstoppable), Magelight, Cloak ---> run at target in stealth... R (onslaught) ----> mass hysteria or "roll and run".

So bow has a passive that gives you a hasty retreat when you roll dodge which is strong in PVP. The other advantage is you can attack from the top of keeps and walls and often you are just outnumbered so you can't fight so you just attack into the zerg without them over running you. You just can't always jump into the middle of a fight.

    You mean Cp?
Well the big different between PVP and PVE is that PVP wants to use Master at arms more than Thaumaturge (Although it is still useful for poison arrow). Onslaught doesn't need any points in penetration.

Well stamina regen is useful but Roll dodge, Break free and Block cost reduction are all very useful as well. You might only want 13% Stam regen to put more into roll dodge and break free.

For Red Points Hardy and elemental defence are both really useful as is Iron clad. Finally you can put a few points into quick recovery for better Vigor heals.

When you say I can run "DW/2h Clever alchemist + Viper + Selenes" does that mean it's best to mix the weapons and armour of those sets into one to get the best of WD? I know sometimes sets of armour are better than others in regards to where you place them on your character.

For the attributes I was referring to where to place the 64 attribute points that are distributed between Magicka, Health and Stamina, but what you said about the CP distribution is also highly helpful. I was thinking it'd be best to put majority of attributes in Stamina if I were to run the recommended combination of sets you said? Clever alchemist can provide the health, I think

For this specific combination it doesn't really matter. Just depends if you'd rather have Viper or Clever on both bars. Usally players will go with Clever body, Viper jewellery + duel wield.

If you want to do the most damage damage it is always 64 in stamina.

If you need more health, you wont for the full on gank build, you can enchant your gear with hp enchants.. which are easily changed.

You will want the tri stat food (purple) rather than the two stat food (blue), because of how important it is for you to be able to cloak and magelight.

I think viper and clever alchemist combination with 64 stamina would be my best choice at the moment. Clever can see to my health. Only thing I need to do is research enough traits to be able to craft the clever set.

It's seven traits required to be able to craft a piece of Clever Alchemist set, right? Atm I'm going for the Jack

It'll take you months, get someone else to craft it for you while you research.

Fair enough. I have the perk that lowers the duration if researching if that's of any difference. Would it be recommendable to ask people around on here to sell or make it?

Not too sure on here, you could try.

But i'd try a big in game guild, they usually have crafters.

I'll take your advice. Thank you for all for your assistances with this, though. I think I'm gonna try a combination of viper and alchemist gear and see how that works for me.

Just one last thing to get off my chest: traits. Impenetrable the one to go for? I have that unlocked on quite a few medium sets, thankfully
