What happened to my windows? (Mathiisen Manor)

I just noticed today that my windows in my house have been completely replaced with wall.

This is what I see now:





And this is what I used to see and bought (example from Vulkhel's Guard):




What happened to the windows? This is a bug, right? I've sent a report in game, but have not had a response yet.

I just tried previewing the home and I'm seeing the same thing - all the windows have been replaced with wall texture.

I think it must be a bug, I can't see any reason they'd intentionally remove the windows, and if they did surely they'd remove the window frames as well.

You don't get a response for ingame bug reports. If you want a response, you'd have to make a ticket on the website.

The Morrowind update included alterations to many homes. Nobody was told, it doesn't even seem to have been well communicated in-house as Gina was seen trying to collect bugreports about new rocks and things in Earthtear, as if it weren't purposeful.

Your windows have been rebalanced to perform more in line with other lighting features. Pray they are not rebalanced further.

Because its paid content through CROWNS. You bought the house because of its looks. Changing it without saying anything is called scamming.

You wouldn't be upset if Spectrum/ATT removed 20 of your channels without letting you know or what the reason is? It's actually illegal.

So that is 3 houses we know they have screwed with so far - do we have any lawyers here who know what the ramifications of selling something for crowns and then amending it without notice or explanation actually might be as I know enough to know that this area of law is changing quite a lot and is region specific?

This is the second of my 30+ houses they have messed with that I know of this last week and I am getting pretty sick of this already....

People didn't care when it happened to the very expensive Crown exclusive Cavern (they added huge stones when there were none before). Except the home owners.
People didn't care when it happened to Hunding's (they removed seashells and kelp from the beach). Except the home owners.
People will not care now that it is happening to Mathiisen. Except the home owners.
This thread will be buried in the Bug report section, like Hunding's thread was, although there is no bug involved at all - this is intended.

All home owners, even the cheapest ones, should unite to demand ZOS to not make any changes to their homes - except to fix obvious bugs.

Personally, I'm not spending one more cent in housing until we get a good explanation on why they are making those unasked for alterations.

its no different than buying the game brand new with cash, playing it for a month and then downloading a patch to find out that your character has been nerfed/buffed/rebalanced or whatever you my choose to call it. What needs to be relayed from ZoS is whether the changes are intentional or an unexpected bug which they will address.

Every "item" in the game is content, whether you paid for it with ingame gold or with hard $'s it is content that YOU DO NOT OWN, you have only paid for the right to use that content, it can be changed, modified or whatever at anytime by its rightful and intelectual owners (you know what a EULA is i suppose, heck you must do or you would never have gotten as far as to play the game) and you sir/madam are out on a limb with no recourse.

I come from a family of Lawyers/Judges but I really don't care about going to court or suing anyone over something so trivial.

I just want an explanation or acknowledgement that it is a bug and being worked on. That's literally all I'm looking for, as a paying customer.

That's not really how that stuff works - you'd need a decent number of people willing to invest both money and the time to follow up, make noise, harass politicians and so on which given the apathetic nature of people these days seems unlikely. My point is not that is is easy to get something done simply that it is not impossible. A simple start would be to spend a bit of time making sure that gamers know that spending money with ZOS is not a safe bet as they make random changes without notice or acknowledgement - make a little effort to ensure others do not have to put up with the same foolishness, or at least that they are forewarned.

I never even saw the Hunding's thread.

I saw the Craglorn cavern thread but I thought from reading Gina's posts that it was being looked into.

I will not be buying another house or any furniture until we hear something. I agree everyone who has purchased a house either through gold or crowns should stand together on this.
