Mount races

We should be able to have horse / mount races across tamriel , difderent courses and derbys and spectators should be allowed to place bets and tjere sgoild be trophies and leaderboards . Kinda like witcher 3 races but eso style and also with the classic zenimax bugs n glitches . Add special mount buffs n bonuses n titles n slap some $$$ paywall and there u have it,

I dont get the draw of this for ESO... all mounts perform exactly the same. There are hardly any obstacles that would make racing even slightly interesting. Why would this be fun?

That means a straight race across flat ground would be boring. But it also means a race where winning depends on choosing the best path, dodging obstacles and your opponents and needing to react to other things that happen could be very interesting because it'd depend entirely on player skill (and riding skills - but those could be disabled). No one could claim they lost because they're riding a hose and the winner was riding a bear or whatever (although I'm sure there would be all kinds of claims that actually certain types of mount are faster or turn quicker or whatever).

It's not currently possible to do a race like that but I'm sure ZOS could create one. Make it so during the race players have collision (with identical hit boxes for the mounts), and put some traps and enemies on the course and it could be interesting.

Although I suspect they'd also go and make it like Mario Kart and similar games where you can obtain items during the race to use against your opponents and then 9 times out of 10 winning comes down to RNG - whoever gets the best power ups wins.

(For the record I love Mario Kart, it's just not a good game for serious competitive racing.)

I saw some rumor months ago that this was something ZOS was considering for the future. (I expect it would be free with a patch, but I don't know for sure.) Haven't heard anything about it since, though.
I hope they give away a new horse mount (new color) as a prize that anyone can win.

Guar races, sure. I can't stand to look upon the atrociously modeled bow-legged, bug eyed monstrosities this game calls "horses".

I would like to see mount races. Perhaps my noble steed vs the faster-than-max-speed-horse build?

I'd mount a bosmer... argonians belong on my fields where they'd be most productive
