Mage Guild quest line

I started a High Elf sorcerer. I went to the mage guild and did 2 quests I believe. But I haven't been able to continue. I went to several other mage guilds in other cities but no quests to do. And my journal doesn't show any more quests. My problem is i'm level 24 but my mage guild level is 1, I don't have access to any of the spells or passives besides the first passive "persuasive will".

Did I miss a step somewhere or will the quest line open later at a higher level?
I've been trying to figure this out for a week with no luck so far.

For raising the Mages Guild line it increases by reading the Mages Guild Lorebooks. If you are on PC you can get an addon called "Lorebooks" that shows you the locations on all the maps. You can go from level 1 to level 10 in about 3 hours give or take depending on your movement speed and access to areas.

As for Mages Guild quests I'm not sure why you don't see any more.

You need to level your Mages Guild before you can get more Mages Guild quests. You can increase your Mages Guild level by finding lorebooks (lorebooks have a blue glow and are different from the regular books you find on bookshelves). If you're on PC, you can install an add-on (called "LoreBooks") that marks the location of each lorebook on your map. Alternatively, you can look up their locations on this website. Finally, you can just do it the old-fashioned way and explore out of the way places on the map to find them.

Thank you very much I leveled my mage guild level and hopefully after a few more levels the quest line will start again.
