What an Orc needs to be proud !

Nael

Hi everyone,

I don't know if many here like the Orcs as much as I do, but since I haven't seen anything close to what I'ld like to see in the recent topics, here's a new one.

For as long as I have played mmo games, people tends to appreciate possibilities to create a unique character, especially role players. I'm not an engineer and I can't say that I know much about game creation or anything related, but my following question doesn't necessarily needs a complex answer. Even your support on the idea would be great, guys. ;)

Would it be possible, dearest members of eso, to move the spikes for Orcs' forehead from the category "Beards and facial hair" to "Jewel and other ornements" ?

I was truly startled to see it with facial hair, since there is no relation and I can't believe that an Orc with "mauloch's horns" is enable to grow a beard.

Thank you for your time and opinions !

For an Orsimer to be proud you must pick a right class and right weapon. Orsimers are great when they play as stamina Dragonknights or stamina Sorcerers, while other classes diminish their pride a lot. Warden has skills Orsimer don't find manly enough, ridiculing anyone who summon a field of plants or a netch for some reason. Also, Orsimer think of stealthy characters as something depraved of honor, while templars are seen as cowards afraid to die in combat, as true Orsimer would.
Weapons of choice for an Orsimer depends on clan I guess, some favor 2h axes while others are no strangers to large swords or mauls. Common sight is an Orsimer with a shield, and they excel as tanks due to high natural mobility and bulkiness that is common among Pariah folk of Dragontail Mountains. Many hunters among Orsimer favor a bow as a weapon as well.

This guy clearly didn't read OP's message.

I think they should, though Argonian horns also counts as Hair. I don't know if I want any changes in those mechanics.

Patriarch beard from crown store might work.

Thanks for your insight in the classes distinction for the race !

And yeah, also remarked this a few minutes ago for Argonians ( and Bosmers with their antlers ).

For females characters, nobody cares since they - usually - don't have beards ... I think it's safe to assume that few Argonians will grow feather-beards so those are not necessarily.

But then I realize it is difficult to put antlers and horns for male in facial ornements while leaving it in facial hair for female.

So... why not different choices of beards WITH horns for orcs and bosmers ? Argonians and Khajiits have nearly every month a new haircut or "head style" in the crown store !

If it changes my Argonian, Ramses the Damned, in any way...no. If they only did it to Orcs, why not. While they're at it, they should allow people to change the Orc tusk sizes.

I wish they would. I really don't like what they did with orcs in general in this game. When I first tried to make one, the lack of horns really bothered me.I think there was only one option, some little nub things, and you had to choose between them or a beard.

And you can't change their tusk size, give them skin that's actually green, and for some reason, many ingame orcs are very cowardly, completely going against everything they stand for.

Yet the most courageous guy in this game is Bumnog, an orc. Here's a few lines:

"I vowed that I would always face my opponents as an equal. If an enemy came at me with a sword, I would meet his blade with one of my own. The harpies fight with claws. How could I go up against them with anything more than fists nature gave me?"
But their claws are sharp as razors ....
"Sharp and natural. They don't wield weapons, so neither will I. I fight them head on, fists against claws. And I will do so with honor."

Pretty sure this orc would fight dragons with his fists as well.

Horns should be in a category of their own. Orsimer, Bosmer and Argonian share this plight.
Just so that everyone knows, my Altmer still can't have black hair. About a dozen of Altmer NPCs in the game have black hair. Just saying.

    Meet my characters:
    Command: Do the thing.

Zadarri, Khajiit Fist of Thalmor: The thing was done, as commanded.
Durza gra-Maghul, Orc blacksmith: The thing was done perfectly, in the most efficient way.
Tegwen, Bosmer troublemaker: You can't prove I didn't do the thing.
Sings-Many-Songs, Argonian fisher: Sure, I'll do the thing... Eventually. Maybe.
Aerindel, Altmer stormcaller: After extensive research, I've come to the conclusion that doing the thing would be a waste of resources.
Liliel, Dunmer pyromancer: Aerindel said I shouldn't do the thing. Something about "resources".
Gyda Snowcaller, Nord cryomancer: I will find a way to do it that won't waste resources and make Aerindel proud of me.
Beatrice Leoriane, Breton vampire: I persuaded someone else into doing the thing. You are welcome, dear.
Sahima, Redguard performer: Doing the thing sounds awfully unpleasant and really not my problem.
Ellaria Valerius, Imperial priestess: I'll pray to the Eight for the thing to be done, if it is Their will.

I think they should not only move those to the jewelry area, but also unlock a great many of the jewelry items from 'female only' to be available for both genders. They have jewelry in there that is extremely cool on a male character, but locked away. For instance the chin studs that are female only? The lead singer from Disturbed wears very similar! Why is that female only?

Can't confirm that, as I kinda forgotten the stories involving them. But if you say so...

I have to say though that Bumnog is pretty much the only orc I really respect in ESO. There aren't as many orcs here as in Skyrim that I show respect for. I'm talking about you, old orcs, waiting for a good death.

I'm so very glad to read it, but as said above, we see so much for argonians et khajiits, that I've come to think everybody only play them, for zenimax to make stuff so ... discriminately.

They have many options and possibilities, can't say it's important or more pressing than any other stuff, but it can't either be so troubling or difficult to realize in game.

A few minor changes here and there are sometimes better than major ones, once a year.

Also, since we all Orc fans are here, let me remind you all that clan Morkul is objectively the best clan and if you are part of any other clan you are a disgrace who doesn't deserve your tusks.

I don't know personally, but I have heard stories. That he's with the Daggerfall Covenant, but in truth, he's an Aldmeri Dominion Loyalist. I can't really respect traitors.
For real though, player-based characters are something different. I do know that I have zero respect for sorcs, unless they're awesome healers or tanks.

The worst offender I can think of is that quest with the orc that doesn't know if he wants to be a fighter or blacksmith. And he keeps getting scared, running away, and dropping his sword.

But I can't really think of any others either...so don't know. Maybe I just let that specific quest get to my mind.
