Class and build for toe to toe combat

I've been playing for around 2 weeks now and I've tried several build and classes that all seem to focus on light armor, destruction staves and being all around squishy. Well turns out I suck at moving around and using skills at the same time, so I thought I'd reach out and see if anyone can guide me towards a class build that has big surviveability and won't require me to run around as much for almost exclusively solo pve.

Any ideas?

If you're wanting to go around AOEing down big packs of mobs quickly while taking barely any damage it's easy:
2-Hander heavy attack (does splash damage)
Use Brawler after every Heavy attack to refresh the damage shield (stronger the more enemies you have)

For the most part you can just stand there.
Really we do it without like, the musical instruments. This is the only musical: the mouth. And hopefully the brain attached to the mouth. Right? The brain, more important than the mouth, is the brain. The brain is much more important.

    Thanks!

Any build examples I could use as a guide?

    As for solo PvE
    1. variant "Kill faster then die". Focusing on high AoE dmg and self-healing sustain. Will works good for questing as you will wipe trash groups in a few seconds and pretty effisient for quest bosses including public dungeons (but not usefull for WB). Good works with magSorc or magWarden use lightning staff and 5 light armour (Julianos + smth esle). Sorcs has self heal with surge, warden has stong healing skills and passive healing on pet use. (warden combo of bugs-winter revenge-lightning blockade HA-channel works amazing and whem you add cliffracer spam on bosses you run through content non-stop). Somewhat similar effect you can get with stamsorc 5 med (hunding + nmg) surge+hurricane+ 2H/Bow
++ You can use it almost from the very begining and with crafted sets
++ You will be useful as DD in Group dngns
-- Still inefficient for soloing WB

    2. variant "Die hard". Tanky DPS. Focusing on sustain and somewhat on defence. One of the best combo stam warden with frost staff on one bar (for second any stam weapon - i prefer bow for good DoTs). And you'll need very high stam regen (i use ithernal hunt + bone pirate + with event drink dubiuos...). 5 med+1hv+1light, also needed block cost reduction (so some parts sturdy and rduce block cost enchants). Block with frost staff and magicka. Atack and heal with stamina class skills (sometimes puting DoTs from bow bar). So you will have avarge DPS and will be very hard to kill.
    ++ You can solo WB
-- You DPS will be avarage and you will not be good as DD in group dungeons, you can go as tank but it will require some skills and understanding the point of build (as you will be pretty squishy compared to heavy armour tank, but you can use rolldodge/bash/break free much more effectively)
    -- specific gear needed

Magic is generally more survivable stam. I highly suggest you check out the light armor skill "annulment" as it is a great magic shield. Pair this with a lighting staff and you could probably clear the entire main quest without any other skills if you put your mind to it.

I have a Redguard Stamplar and I run 7 impen: 2 Selene(heavy head), 5 Bone Pirate. Agility jewelry. 2h nirnhoned, defending bow. I'm tanky with rally, and deadly with PotL/Selene. Obviously certain classes and races will make you tankier, but sticking with a character and getting to know it all around will make you better in the long run.
