Is it true that certain mounts do not get stuck

It relates to ping! It's just a form of "rubber banding" as it's been known in other games. Basically the server is having trouble updating your position as you move more quickly, and so when the server pings you machine you appear to move back or slow down as the server tries to keep your new positions updated.

P.S Everyone knows Guars make the best mounts, pebbles or no pebbles, low ping or high ping.

The problem with saying one mount is slowed more than another is that the perception of speed varies widely based on the stride of the mount. So, for example, I tend to ride a guar or the spider because when I use something like the camel or bear, it feels so much slower.

When you apply that to getting slowed, the long stride mounts will feel like they are slowed even more than the short stride mounts.

This might even be applicable to stops unless they are hard stops.

Pretty sure this. Also as sometimes my hits got disappeared in Cyrodiil.

I have only horse (burning one) and can't compare well. But it slowing down pretty often.

I own quite a few mounts and the spider and doom wolf are the smoothest riding imo

TESO needs a wardrobe system badly. Something similar to WoW's tmog system would make this game one of the best mmorpg out there!

I stick to horses, wolves and senches and haven't experienced any issues (on PC), although I don't often ride as I tend to run everywhere harvesting as I go. My character doesn't slow or get stuck either other than say in a city where he might bump into a NPC that hasn't been drawn yet.

I find my zombie horse is the smoothest and fastest ride.

Usually on new toons I always assign them a horse until they get mount speed maxed, because I find the senches and wolves feel a lot slower than the horses in the early stages.

I hate the fact that my horse seems allergic to water. If I so much as look at a shallow stream, I get kicked off the horse....

The Elk rides like a Horse and gets stuck. Wolf and Lion do not.

And by "stuck" I'm referring to a significant decrease in speed when hitting a tiny step or pebble (such as those before a bridge).

This all started with the Dark Brotherhood patch. I believe mounts are extensions of your character so this would explain why people are having different results. Maybe it does have something to do with the size of you character or other variables. All I know is the only mounts that I do not have too many issues with slowing down are cats. However I play with the same people in PvP almost every night and I am the slowest by far and we all have the same stats. They all make fun of me for being slow.

I like using the bear; that beast is like an ATV that will go over almost anything. Barrels, small boulders, small walls....no need to jump any more. Run right over those things. Not sure if other mounts have the same capabilities
