PRAISE TALOS
(I just hope it's set up like the dye system with a one-time cost and then infinite use across characters on the account)
((and also that I can make something look anywhere from light to medium to heavy without trouble since I can do that anyway now with costumes, but worse))

PRAISE MOLAG BAL. [Fixed]
In all seriousness though, its about time! This is a change I am happy to wait for.
I think best way would have an area 'Transmogrification' under the appearance area, separate from costumes, that has a list exactly like our inventory. In your actual inventory, you highlight an item, select options like you would for enchanting, charging, or changing style to imperial, except add the option for transmogrify. Once you do that, it writes that item into the Transmogrification area in appearance. Basically, each slot acts as its own individual costume piece.
Won't this system make motifs useless for the most part?

Step 1, you buy a "transmog stone" from the crown store for 3k, then apply it to the item you want to transmog, then the transaction has a change of randomly changing to another piece of armor in your inventory.

its basically two ways to do this, either you use template gear, as long as it fit the same slot or same weapon type it will workquadraxis666 wrote: »Few things to say on this.
First- Credit to ZOS where credit is due. They are implementing a feature that needs to be implemented, and will greatly improve the game. It can't be here fast enough.
That said. I will bet you right now they will screw it up. I will bet you.
It either won't work in the beginning, or will delete out your armor or some crap.
And I haven't read the full details on it so this may already be confirmed, but I will bet it will be charged for or they will attempt to monetize it in some way.
In addition to that, there may be another catch such as "only works with certain sets", or "only 'x' amount of transmogrifications allowed per day".
Who knows with these people. lol
Yeah agree with this guy, unquestionably they will Zos this up (that's bad) it'll be you need a gazillion tempers/crowns some other bs, there'll be catches and caveats galore. Zos if you're paying attention (still doubtful) this is how players want this to work - Right click > Convert gear to X style (obviously you must know the style motif so motifs don't become useless), in exactly the same way players who own the imperial edition can convert anything to imperial style. That simple. Please get this right.

I didn't really understand this part: This is different than the current “motif” system crafters use to make items look the way they want, in so much that it allows a user total control over their stats and their looks.
you already have a TRANSMOG system ready to go... it's called a COSTUME. ZOS might easily be able to create a "template' by which a player could save the appearance of any actual worn items, to a "custom" costume that could be accessed like any other costume (maybe even named by the player).
Maybe I'm cynical, but I suspect much of the feet dragging on this directly relates to crown store sales. If nothing else they could sell custom costume slots, but in any event they'd have to step up their game with some of the crappy costumes they sell in the stores.

well considering less than 6 months ago devs stated transmog system was too difficult and no plans to start working on it doubt anything will happen before this time next year

Not easy to add??? Convert to imperial style has been there since release, and Morag Tong converting has been introduced with Morrowind. I bet they are just looking for the best way to make money with this. Stop fooling us Zos.
Problem with dropped sets is the weapons. Common solution is one dropped for jewelry and one crafted for weapons.MarkusLiberty wrote: »Phica_Lovic wrote: »

definetly no.
Transmog should never connected to the crownstore.
