Instead, I'd rather ZoS implement a customization system for us console owners to change the UI, HUD, and menu listings, which is primarily what most add-ons do anyway.
This would benefit causal players on pc to, they are unlikely to use many mods.
Grinding just make you go in circles.
Asking ZoS for nerfs is as stupid as asking for close air support from the death star.

Someone already mentioned it but Skyrim (think it was the anniversary edition but not sure), had a ton of add-ons for the PS4. However only PS4 game I've seen that had them.
    For the Pact!

Thats my question..Is it just no one is making them? Or are we blocked from getting them..Anyone know? zos? Im curios because skyrim has mods, and while this isnt skyrim by any means and im not talking about mods, our pc counterpart does have addons. Now i would think if skyrim has mods on console and pc, then eso would be able to have add ons on console. Idk if my logic makes sense to people reading this, but im just curious regardless.

    Namely, memory limitations
It's possible but console aready struggle with the game

Yeah but this goes hand in hand with the main issue. You cant govern how many addons a player is allowed to use, so this issue comes to life. Logistically this all boils down to consoles needing to make sure players arent screwing there own game up. Mods have to have strict limitations and ultimately would end up being a waste time for all parties.

And then you have to set memory limitations due to ps4 pro and xb1x because you know for sure they dont want any advantage available to these platforms lol... honeslty its a logistical nightmare from all angles and completely inpractical from a support and upkeep side.

Mods do not inheritently equate to cheating. Frankly mods dont allow for cheating at all outside of the miats issue.

Skyshards and lorebooks would appease a great number of us console users. I played on PC before console launched. Used a TON of mods. I made the switch because I wanted to play from my couch on a big screen. (back then didn't have wireless controller capability on my PC) and now I'm to deeply entrenched on console to go back

As I said, both are already there in the code. No mods required, no patching worries to consider. Just flip the proverbial switch and done. (smidge more complicated I'm sure, but not by much)

I honestly don't get why these two simple things haven't already been done. PC has had them since about day 4 give or take. Again, shouldn't even require a mod since all a mod does from what I can tell is flip that switch to make them visable. Would need to be a UI change though to make them disappear once found. Screen is already cluttered with waypoints and dungeons and whatnot

Depending on your viewpoint. To be having a timesaving other players may not have is a form of cheating.

Having BLOCK NOW pop up when others dont. Or ULTIMATE READY or POTION NOW all appear forms of cheating as its battle of the add ON's.

I'm happy knowing all players see what I see, and have the same hardware. I don't want add on crap on console.

Its not an opinion, saving time via trait tracking, market pricing, skyshard and lorebook located are conveniences that any player has access too. Its not cheating. Does the console player with a second monitor showing skyshard locations on his pc equal cheating as well? No.

Mods do not allow you to circumvent server side system mechanics and restrictions set in place by game developers. Outside of extreme cases and bots (which are not mods in this sense)

Mods exist BECAUSE the devs make sure the api is in order and mod creators can make use of the intended tools. By that very fact, mods are not cheating. Its not like crafty individuals dug into the client files and started making mods without zos planing for it. Mod support was built into the game.
